Film Fest The third annual Adirondack Film Festival, presented by the Adirondack Theatre Festival, will include more than 100 films shown in one weekend, Oct. 18-21, across six venues in downtown Glens Falls. The festival will feature a selection of more than 80 short films and 16 feature films. Dedication The public is invited to a Gold Star Memorial Dedication on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 11 a.m. in Congress Park, 315 Broadway, Saratoga Springs. Dating back to World War I, the term Gold Star came from the custom of families of servicemen hanging a banner in the window of their homes with a star for each family member that was serving in the Armed Forces.
