Twig memories Now that our favorite columnist has been living in Bennington the past year, his columns are fewer, but they still make great reading. This week he has a fascinating piece on Ken Colville which we think will stir memories for many of our readers. We are sure he would love to hear from you!

The Turkey Trot participants wear all forms of interesting attire.

Trot like a turkey Saturday By Adam Cook For those looking to make room for the upcoming turkey day feast, here’s your chance. The sixth annual Fair Haven Union High School Turkey Trot is this Saturday, Nov. 17, starting at 10 a.m. The school is located at 33 Mechanic St. in Fair Haven. Proceeds from the event benefit the class of 2020. Both runners and walkers are welcome. The event starts at the softball dugouts

behind the school. Participants will then head around the school building and down Mechanic Street before making a right onto Fourth Street, head down Airport Road and turn around in the airport parking lot. Participants will then run back to Fourth Street, past the school’s driveway, then down Pine Street onto the soccer field to the far goal on the end of the football field and towards the finish line. The event also benefits Fair Haven Concerned, Inc., a grassroots organization

dedicated to helping the greater Fair Haven area. Participants who registered before Nov. 9 received a free T-shirt - but it’s not too late to enter. Same-day registration will be offered. English teacher Tricia Doran, who is organizing the event, said only 10 people had signed up to participate so far. But she says she’s not surprised. “Mr. Worthing had mentioned, be pre
