On our Cover On the cover of this year’s Whitehall Community Guide, readers will find a small, wooden structure in the foreground, just in front of the Champlain Canal, with the Skene Manor overlooking the entire scene. This wooden structure is located in Whitehall’s Skenesborough Riverside Park, just south of the Skenesborough Museum. It is actually a replica of the type of home villagers of Whitehall – then Skenesborough – resided in during the 18th century. It was built by a member of the Whitehall Historical Society based upon his own research into that era.

Codie Bascue - Whitehall's Olympian Update With winter settling in, a new bobsled season is here. Unfortunately, Whitehall's Codie Bascue is off to a rough start. On Sunday, Dec. 16 Bascue posted on his Facebook page that he was unable to compete in the first fourman race of the season due to an injured calf. Sports medical professionals recommended he forego the race and return to the US Olympic training facility in Lake Placid and receive a platelet rich plasma injection to assist in recovery. Bascue anticipates he will return to competitive bobsledding in the second half of this season. deeply. “The Bascue family and Codie want to thank all of his fans and supporters for the kind words of encouragement and always believing he could achieve his dream goal of becoming an Olympian,” said Pam Bascue.
