WHO ARE WE? We are Mandy and Alisdair - MANDALI. We are self-taught jewelry designers based in Malta. With our wide range of skills, we are constantly creating new pieces and providing eachÂ customer with that special something that is completely individual. All of our jewelry is handmade, consisting of silver and wire work, and is created using only natural, organic materials (such as semi-precious stones) together with sterling silver, gold and copper. Each piece is completely unique and a work of art; hand-cut

All of our gemstones are genuine, picked natural stones. Our silver is sterling 925 in sheet and wire, and pure silver 999 of the finest quality. We also use pure copper and on occasion, 18 carat yellow gold.

Being entirely self-taught, he has acquired a technique which although seemingly unusual, is very artistic. He very rarely sketches his pieces prior to making (even when making a custom order) but always manages to achieve end results that are identical to his client’s original mental image. Alisdair is also highly unconventional in his manner of work and takes great pride in the fact that he does not use any chemicals in the process of fabrication, meaning that his pieces truly are handmade from start to finish.

Alisdair uses only the finest quality of 925 sterling silver sheet and art clay 999 pure silver alongside wires of various thicknesses and diameters, depending on the item he is making. The pieces are also often darkened with sulphur patina in order to give the designs more contrast. These mountain rings wedding bands are handmade with the love of the mountains, the love people give to them and the love people give to each other. The mountain band is in 18 carat yellow gold, with the ring band in 925 sterling silver.

These wedding rings are unique whilst also being very sober. Slightly hammered, they can be personalized on the inside with your respective names or any other inscription.

Alisdiar used sheet silver to make two equal domes, which he then stamped with designs before adding a silver nipple onto the top dome. Then came the hinge (which was somewhat tricky!), followed by the design inside, using round silver wire to make 3 spirals into a flower. The final element was the band, which is embossed with a Greek style pattern and supports the ring through 2 figure of eight shapes on either side.

Alisdair used sheet silver to create the box, which has waves on either side to keep the lid in place. The lid has inlaid shell on the top and silver waves on the inside. There is also inlaid shell at the bottom of the box and another waves style pattern embossed on the band.

To open the lid, one has to push directly upwards onto the lever but be warned... if you accidentally rub it, a Genie might appear!
