Dark flower ring

Page 1

Hello my Sweet Honey Bunnies! Welcome to My Mandarin Ducky Today I would like to show you how to make this gorgeous and very easy to make Dark Flower Ring.

For this project we will need: • Black clay (I am using Fimo Soft) • Tweezers • Cutter or blade (Spatula) • Super glue • Ring Setting • Clay round cutter • Swarovski crystals (Or other glass crystals, not plastic or acrylic!) • Sponge, Mesh or Fabric for texture • Ball tool or tooth pick Condition your clay so it's easy to work with. Run your clay through your pasta machine's thickest setting. Use a round cutter to cut out a circle and pick it up with your wide cutter. Place it on your mesh, fabric, sponge or other texture material you have and start applying your texture. You want to make sure it's all evenly covered. Also make sure you squeeze the edges of the circle while you are holding it inside your fabric to round them up so they don't look clumsy. Take your crystals in different colors and sizes and start applying them onto your circle. To make sure they are properly secured - apply a tiny clay ball first and then gently push your crystal in. This will create a lovely accurate border for each your crystals and will secure it inside. Now you can lift your creation up and start shaping it into anything you want. Here I am pushing with my fingers on 3 edges of the circle to give it a shape a flower or a mushroom. You can try different twists, bends or rolls. Just use your fantasy and when it's done - place it on your baking tray or a baking-safe fiberfill pad. For baking guidelines check your clay package. Take it out of the oven and let it cool. After that - use your ring finding and apply some super glue on it. Connect both parts together and wait for it to stick. We are done! Enjoy!
