How to Make a Balloon Dog!

Balloon Twisting Terminology: - Pencil/Entertainer Balloon: A long, thin balloon that comes in various sizes. The most common size is a 260 which when blown up measures 2 inches in diameter and 60 inches long. - Twist: What you do to the balloon in order to form a bubble. Twist the bubble away from you at least 5x. - Bubble: What is formed when you twist. These are used to form the animal or object that you want by using multiple bubbles. Often times you use your fingers to measure (ex. two finger bubble = the length of 2 fingers side by side) - Twist Lock: Taking two bubbles and locking the together by twisting at least 3 times to lock them in place. Commonly used to form the front and back legs of a balloon dog or other animals

All About Balloons: - Did you know that latex balloons are biodegradeable? They decompose at the same rate as an oak leaf. - Please do not give balloons to children younger than 3 as they can be a choking hazard. -

Troubleshooting - If your balloon pops before you are done, start again and leave more uninflated tail at the end. - If your twists are coming undone try twisting a few more times and always hold the first bubble to give yourself some stability so it doesn’t come undone before you twist lock them together.

Step 1

Inflate a pencil/ entertainer balloon with a special hand pump inflator. Don’t forget to leave a four to five finger length tail uninflated at the end or your balloon will pop before you get through building your dog.

Step 3
