ADB country director to join Times Economic Outlook 2019 forum KELLY Bird, Country Director for the Philippines of Asian Development Bank (ADB), has confirmed his participation in The Manila Times Economic Outlook 2019 on March 6, which will have the theme “Riding the Tailwinds: Pursuing Growth and Value Amid Rising Global Risks.” Bird was appointed to the position in January 2018. Prior to this assignment, he was director of the Public Management, Financial Sector and Trade Division in the Southeast Asia
Department of the Asian Development Bank. He joined the ADB in June 2006, specializing in regulatory governance and reforms, financial sector development, trade and investment policy and employment policy, among others. While at ADB, he has worked with governments on various economic development programs in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, the Philippines, Myanmar and Thailand.
