“CYCLES”

An inspiration which came out of the movie “Cars”, where the cars get their characters, their names, the styles, etc. The plot in the movie is like “A hot-shot race-car named Lightning McQueen gets waylaid in Radiator Springs, where he finds the true meaning of friendship and family”. Accordingly they are modified and designed, whether it is colour, or form, or texture, or whatever connotations it may be. It becomes such an exhilarating and exciting experience to see, the cars make a dialogue between, fight, race between them, like any human beings, who could do. They completely take over the positions of the fellow beings around us. Here in this series I have attempted to look at the Human in these cycles in the same way. For any work, I think the base of inspiration be as strong as the outcome. I was intrigued by the fact of the variety of cycles, in the way they are designed, coloured, or modified by Humans, according to our needs. It also continues to characterise during its whole life time. It also makes some suggestion about who it belongs, what are his/her preferences, with the way they are done with and kept locked too. In a way, a portrait of a cycle can probably reveal the owners’ too. The research here is to look at the various attributes of these cycles, available in this small town called Farnham, United Kingdom. I have tried to go around in search of such vehicles called cycles.
