Hand in hand, they walked through the crisp winter air at Virsad, peek-a-booing past windows and plantain fields. The ancestral home graced them wholeheartedly. And added their story to the old trunks. It seemed to say - may their love glow as bright as the ray of light cutting through the attic, making everything seem alive. Here, they glanced and smiled flashes of memory about how they first set eyes on each other at school. From then on their love, like this old home, has only grown more beautiful with age.

A little there, and a little here - Dhruwal’s face too, was smeared with turmeric paste by many eager hands. His expressions did not mask his joy. Dressed in his finery and a pranksterish smile, he charmed the onlookers. Cousins and friends flanked Dhruwal with their teasing and laughs. Happiness throbbed through the festivity. Dhruwal’s parents glowed with delight, and filled their prayers for him with love and blessings. The excitement in the air could almost be touched.
