Archi-Manga TThe following drawings are a dialogue between lines, shapes, and spaces that pierce through frames. These frames zoom and retract information to display a dialogue between spaces, which transfigure pixels to objects, and spaces to places. In a similar fashion to Japanese animated films, these curious lines guide paths in sporadic routes producing a methodical sense of motion. As pages bend and turn they provide thresholds between corners, apertures, and memory. The meticulous layering of lines creates gradient shading, which are able to define spaces through tones that mimic materiality. As the architectural framework progresses a narrative becomes exposed. I abstained from the use of any written communication as the art is meant to spark your imagination to create your own journey through the realm of human experiences that are meaningful to you. It is important to note that these frames are not bound to our concepts of the past and present. The frames can be cut and bent creating loop holes and opportunity.
Enjoy.
