PART – B Answer one full question from each Module. Each question carries 20 marks. Module – I 11. a) Draw the transfer characteristics for the circuit shown. Also draw the output waveform for a sinusoidal input of amplitude 20 V.

b) Derive an expression for the lower cutoff frequency of a high pass circuit.

OR 12. a) A step generator of 50 Ω impedance applies a 10 V step of 2.2 ns rise time to a series combination of a capacitor C and resistance R = 50 Ω . There appears across R a pulse amplitude 1 V. Find the value of the capacitor C. 12 b) With block diagram explain the working of a offline UPS.
