Energetic, exotic and completely unpredictable - the Ladyboys of Bangkok are back with a dazzling new show. Attired in specially created and hand-sewn lavish costumes, 16 of Thailand’s most stunning Ladyboys are touring the UK for a record breaking 19th year.
Heanor Musical Theatre Company and Rock of Ages take you back to the time of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair!
This Tony Award nominated Broadway musical features the hits of bands including Journey, REO Speedwagon, Bon Jovi, Slade, Poison, Twisted Sister, and more.
It’s the tail end of the big, bad 1980s in Hollywood and the party has been raging hard. Lycra, lace and liquor flow freely at one of the Sunset Strip’s last legendary venues, the Bourbon Room; a place where Stacee Jaxx takes to the stage and groupies line up to watch him perform.
This amateur production of “Rock of Ages” is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Limited.
With more songs and musical production numbers than you could shake a sequined hip to - this is a spectacular cabaret production that is quite simply too good to miss. The entertainment is fast and unrelenting as the eclectic mix of music effortlessly flows from movie hits to superstar pop favourites with tributes ranging from Kylie to Rihanna and Tina Turner to Shakira – and even Whoopi Goldberg to One Direction!

Tuesday 14 – Wednesday 15 June
Tuesday 7 June A shabby boarding house in a small English seaside town. An elderly couple take care of a solitary guest, who rarely ventures out. The arrival of two enigmatic strangers seems to offer a welcome distraction from their mundane existence. But when an impromptu, seemingly innocent birthday party abruptly turns into a deadly game of cat and mouse, there are horrifying repercussions.
West Side Story is the award-winning adaptation of the classic romantic tragedy, Romeo and Juliet. The feuding families become two warring New York City gangs - the White Jets led by Riff and the Puerto Rican Sharks, led by Bernardo. Their hatred escalates to a point where neither can co-exist with any form of understanding. But when Riff’s best friend and former Jet Tony and Bernardo’s younger sister Maria meet at a dance, no-one can do anything to stop their love.
The New Youth Theatre concept is simple. Children between the ages of 3-17 years are taught how to develop and improve their performing arts skills whilst rehearsing for a fully staged musical each term. For more information contact New Youth Theatre on 01623 406284 or visit www.newyouththeatre.co.uk/mansfield
Maria and Tony begin meeting in secret, planning to run away. Then the Sharks and Jets plan a rumble under the highway - whoever wins gains control of the streets. Maria sends Tony to stop it, hoping it can end the violence.

In celebration of Shakespeare, in the 400th anniversary year since his death, the Community Theatre takes on one of his best comedies in this tale of love, mistaken identity and retribution. Viola, shipwrecked in a foreign land, believes her twin brother drowned. To gain favour with the local Duke, Orsino, she disguises herself as a male, Cesario, and becomes servant to the Duke. Cesario is sent to woo the beautiful Countess Olivia on behalf of the Duke. Olivia falls in love with Cesario (Viola), believing she is a young man, and the love triangle is complete when Viola falls in love with the Duke but confusion reigns when the identical twin, Sebastian, shows up in town! Olivia’s uncle, Sir Toby, and his merry ‘cake and ale’ band cause havoc with their fun and frolics, wine and song, and subversive sub-plotting, not least against the pompous steward, Malvolvio, as they take revenge. Come and join us for this fun, feel-good production set in the stylish 1920s!
Pre-Show Talk: Friday 1 July, 6.15pm Meet the Director who will introduce the production and answer any questions. Tickets for this event are FREE but must be pre-booked in conjunction with your show ticket.
