We are always delighted when satisfied customers contact us to tell us about their happy experience when visiting our lovely Theatre. It may be to let us know how much they enjoyed a particular show or about assistance they received from an individual member of staff. It was therefore the icing on the cake when the Theatre received a Gold Customer Service Award at the Business Improvement District (BID) function recently. This was the result of a mystery shopper loving the service and attention they received on their visit. We trust your visits will be equally wonderful in every aspect.

I love coming to Mansfield Palace Theatre. I think it’s a really friendly theatre that’s comfortable and all the seats have good views of stage.
Saturday 18 March This spectacular show features an amazing amalgamation of bizarre, brave and beautiful acts all woven into an Alice in Horrorland type story, driven by a mainly original soundscape and performed with a forked tongue firmly in each cheek! The Circus of Horrors started its gruesome beginnings at the 1995 Glastonbury Festival and has since created history by being the only circus to ever reach the finals of Britain’s Got Talent, plus the only circus to perform in London’s West End in the last 100 years. Their appearances on various TV shows have turned what started as a cult show into a household name – taking the extreme to the mainstream.

Tuesday 21 – Wednesday 22 March It’s 1940s Baltimore and the opening night of a musical version of The Taming of the Shrew. Rehearsals are over and costumes donned, but what you’re about to witness is a whole lot more than Shakespeare’s comic love story. Superstar Lilli Vanessi is the ex-wife of the show’s leading man, Fred, who has a fondness for fresh-faced, Lois Lane. Lois’ boyfriend Bill is getting into debt under Fred’s name. The story unfolds on and off stage, comically intertwined in Cole Porter’s classic musical. Full of wit, dance, show business and hit songs including Brush Up Your Shakespeare, the show will leave you grinning from ear to ear. The New Youth Theatre concept is simple. Children between the ages of 3-17 years are taught how to develop and improve their performing arts skills whilst rehearsing for a fully staged musical each term. This unique approach to musical theatre brings children of all ages together to enjoy learning new skills, have fun and be on-stage To join the energetic cast call: 01623 406284 or visit www.newyouththeatre.co.uk/mansfield

BOOKING FEES We wish to give advance notice that our Booking Fee on tickets purchased in person or over the telephone will be changing to £1.00 a ticket as of 1 April 2017.
This brings us in line with what many other similar local authority theatres charge. The fee has been 2.5% of the value of the ticket since it was introduced in 2011. This Booking Fee remains with the Theatre and does not form part of production contracts. This means that every penny stays with us to help reduce our District Council subsidy which is an imperative. The Booking Fee does not apply to amateur or education productions or projects. If you wish to take advantage of this information, you can book for shows scheduled after 1 April, currently on sale, and depending on the ticket price, there is the potential to save some money, whilst helping your Theatre to grow and remain viable.
