Prospector-level recipient. AMR Stanislaus County is one of six honorees in California to be recognized for outstanding commitment to sustainable excellence through innovation, continuous improvement and visionary leadership. AMR Stanislaus County is the only EMS provider in California to be recognized at this year's awards.

"Receiving this award is an incredible accomplishment for the 215-first responders of AMR Stanislaus County," said Daniel Iniguez, regional director for AMR. "Patient-focused excellence, resilience and continuous quality improvement are areas where our first responders truly excel in their service to our patients and community, and this award is a testament to that.”

The CAPE awards have three levels of recognition, including Explorer, Prospector and Eureka. The CCE evaluates CAPE recipients based on the Baldrige Framework for Performance Excellence.

The Baldrige Framework covers seven categories representing key components of business. They include leadership, strategy, customers, measurement, analysis and knowledge management, workforce, operations and results. Within each category, evaluators look at critical issues such as agility, resilience and transformation, workforce retention, innovation, diversity, equity and inclusion, environmental sustainability and cybersecurity.

“Our submission for this award provided a comprehensive look at how we effectively manage 911 and non-emergency ambulance services for a county with over a half million residents, while still driving business goals, focusing on quality improvement and implementing new innovative practices,” said Iniguez.
