An optimistic end to the food crisis while also reducing food waste OBJECTIVE

Develop a brand and system that solves a problem. Design a series of visual elements in a variety of media that work together as an engaging and relevant solution to food waste in the restaurant industry. SOLUTION
Feedbound’s goal is to re-purpose food that would end up in the trash and give full and healthy meals to people who need them. Feedbound is an approachable system in which restaurants would benefit from helping their community, while also reducing waste. It gives restaurants everything they need to make this change. The brand brings together restaurants, volunteers and people in need. The bright colors paired with simple phrases and bold type help make this complicated subject into a positive and uplifting affair.

Design a mobile application that solves a problem. Create an app based on personal experiences and interests. The app becomes a personal guide to understanding ideal tide conditions for beginner surfers. SOLUTION
Surf culture is inevitably growing. The surfing lifestyle fits perfectly to current ideas and concepts of what are the most valuable things in life. Amped is a new approach to surf apps that welcomes in this wave of newbie surfers who want to submerge into this culture. Amped presents the information in the simplest way, displaying only the most important details controlled by the users, who select what information is useful to them. Designed by surfers for surfers. Friendly and very easy to understand, Amped helps build community.

Rebrand a Mexican restaurant. Design a new brand position and identity that gives a new look and environment that accompanies the transformation from fast-food to a restaurant and bar. Develop a brand and graphic system for Donkeys that goes with the restaurant’s new style and set an uplifting mood for the patrons. SOLUTION
Donkeys’ strong identity system, completely new logo, and guidelines create a brand that is alive and transforms itself with bright colors, establishing glowing contrasts that highlight the industrial environment of the restaurant.

SOLUTION
Disney’s extensive reach made it challenging to compress in one single mood. Since it is well known for its variety of themes, I decided to use line illustrations of some of its iconic characters to create a classic yet modern aesthetic.

To create a name and identity for an adventure beach lifestyle restaurant, especially for surfers. Covana is located on the surfer beach El Zonte in El Salvador. Visitors can find everything from Salvadoran fusion recipes and ingredients to globally inspired dishes.

SOLUTION
Covana is all about making life better by eating delicious food and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Keeping their visitors health and happiness is a priority. Covana’s fresh, tropical identity provides surfers with dishes to help them stay constantly inspired. A beach-freeing feel runs through the Covana brand. The simple logo stands out bold and proud, organic hand-drawn lines enrich and strengthen the finishing touches.

Redesign a visual identity for a design conference. Create a strong and sophisticated visual concept that matches the feel of the conference. Attract designers with things they know best, typography and color. SOLUTION
Design Camp is an event held by AIGA Minnesota, where designers are taken to the great outdoors to reconnect with their profession and passions. Typography, color and composition are highly important in this solution given its target. This highly flexible design adapts to the conference’s needs. The different textures and overlaid elements represent the different parts of the process to solidify ideas.

Redesign an existing app for our day-to-day use. Turn the Fujifilm Camera App into a highly functional and intuitive app. Identify the app’s main objectives and solve them in a thoughtful and engaging way for the user. SOLUTION
Simplify the steps to three main objectives: transfer images to the phone, use the phone as a remote control and geo-tag images. Use a single color to highlight where the user’s eye must follow. Make the interface very similar to the camera’s so that the user feels at home.
