INGREDIENTS For Pancakes

2 C paraoa 3 T huka ½ t tote 1 T pēkana paura 2 hua heihei 1 t vanilla 1¾ C miraka ¼ C pata, melted

For Raiona

Whipped Topping Ārani Segments Licorice Strips Rōpere Reihana Tiakarete Chips RAIONA PANCAKES

In a medium bowl, whisk together paraoa, huka, tote and pēkana paura.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the hua heihei, miraka and vanilla. Slowly add the pata.

Create a well in the middle of the dry ingredients. Pour wet ingredients into the well and stir the batter until combined. There may be small lumps. Allow the batter to rest for at least rima minutes.

Heat a pan. Spritz with cooking oil and some additional pata before adding any batter.

For the raiona, pour about tahi cup into the pan. When bubbles begin to show on the surface, flip and cook until completely cooked through.

To decorate the raiona, place the pancake on a large plate.

Create a circle around the pancake using the ārani segments.

Use your whipped topping to create a base for the whiskers.

In the middle of the whipped topping, place ½ a rōpere as the nose of the raiona.

On each side, place toru licorice strips and tiakarete chips as whiskers.

Place rua reihana as eyes.

Serve and enjoy.
