Process to Apply

Application - A student desiring to apply to top universities in USA needs to prepare at least a year in advance as most Universities have stipulated deadlines, thereby making the whole process time bound.

Along with the test preparation the application process also entails the critical hurdle of deciding on the most suitable and affordable universities. After which comes the task of arranging the application documents such as transcripts, essays, test scores, CVs, recommendations and financials etc. Typically for undergraduate courses universities require SAT scores, for Post Graduate or Master’s degree in USA they require GRE, GMAT scores. For ‘English proficiency’ for both PG and UG admission in USA, TOEFL is accepted by All institutes however now IELTS I also accepted by many Universities.

Visa - A United States visa, according to the US visa Consultants, can be both the easiest and the toughest task for a student- and both for the same reason- that a student appears for a short interview of duration of 90 seconds to 3 minutes and gets his decision at the same time. The interviewer may pose a range of questions within this short span of time and a student needs to be prepared to deliver smart and cogent answers and convince a visa officer of his genuineness for travelling to USA for studies. Decision on approval or rejection is expected pretty much there itself during the interview.

On Campus: The options of living in residence halls or dormitories (also called “dorms) are provided to students by almost all universities in USA. Usually, these are for single students, not for married couples or families, and are situated on or close to the campus.

Students may get a kitchen in some dorms for those who would rather cook for themselves. Usually, dormitories have common rooms where students can get together to watch television, play games, or simply be with friends. To keep an eye on safety and cleanliness, and to make sure the rules are observed the Supervisors, often called "residence advisers" or "resident directors," often live in dormitories. Students share their rooms with one or more roommates in most of the rooms in dormitories. Usually, dormitory rooms do not have a private bath or toilet.
