Located 1.5 miles northwest of Silverton, spanning Abiqua Creek. Built in 1917 & recently restored, this is Oregon’s oldest covered bridge. It got its name during Prohibition when liquor was sold by the gallon in a nearby house.

Oregon’s largest & most diverse state park, Silver Falls encompasses 8,700 acres nestled into the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. With an average annual rainfall of 80 inches, Silver Falls is classified as a second growth temperate rainforest and hosts a wide variety of plant and animal life. Trails - Silver Falls has more than 30 miles of recreational trails, some of which are accessible to hikers, bikers and horses. The most popular hiking trail is the seven mile “Trail of Ten Falls”, which provides views of 10 waterfalls and allows hikers to pass behind four of them. Horse rentals are available Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day weekend. South Falls National Historic District – The nine-acre area located in the South Falls day use area includes the South Falls Lodge, a beautiful structure built from native rock with large exposed wood beam ceilings. The lodge was constructed in 1940 by the Civilian Conservation Corps and restored in 1999. It provides food service and interpretive information. Other features include a log cabin gift shop, stone shelter and rock wall overlooking south falls.
