Let us introduce: MAPSI Study and Guide Book! We are glad to share our main outcomes of the MAPSI project: Study Book, targeting mainly students of cultural management, cultural policy and social services. Please read HERE. Guide Book, targeting professionals, developers and policy makers in art and social fields. Please read HERE. Both publications are outcomes of a joint co-writing effort created together with several researchers from Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Estonian Business School, Laurea University of Applied Sciences, Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki and Universidad del PaĂs Vasco / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea UPV/EHU. We have each contributed to the building and commenting on the chapters, not only within our fields of expertise but conjointly and collectively throughout the Study Book.

Managing Societally Influential Art Projects Leadership Evaluation Final Case Analysis All lectures had a voice presentation, some video presentations, reading materials and few written home tasks. The learning material followed the structure of the Study Book that was integrated to the structure of the e-course. While going through the e-course students gained practical examples and needed to fulfill exercises to approach managing art projects with social impact. Also, students analyzed case study related to art projects that aim for societal impact. Concerning the content of the e-course, the feedback of the students was very positive – the respondents agreed the content of the e-course was relevant. Although lectures had on purpose different type of assignments (small essay, web-page analyze etc), 66,6% students considered the quality of the different lectures within the e-course more or less equal. And a positive concluding remark could be that based on the current e-course experience, 100% of students would like to follow an e-course in the future. MAPSI e-course will be opened to some extent to other universities, “see you” next time in autumn 2017!
MAPSI final conference in Bilbao in January 2016 In January 2016, MAPSI conference was held in Bilbao, Spain. The public conference day in Bilbao concentrated on the technology driven developments and its impact on the society. For the last two years we have been discussing, developing and piloting innovative approaches to incorporate the societal impact of the arts in the design and management of cultural and social projects. In Bilbao we discussed how art projects can be drivers and users of innovation. On the one side, conference focused on technological innovation, on the other, on social innovation. The programme was also complemented with field visit to DSS2016-SAN SEBASTÍAN (European Capital of Culture for the year 2016) that was a nice opportunity to share experiences of Helsinki, Turku and Tallinn (cities that hosted the event in the past), focusing on societal impact. Conference was streamed and presentations can be seen HERE.
