WHY

There is hardly a better occupation for children, as arts and crafts not only promote their creativity but also enhance their motor and intellectual skills, train their spatial imagination and help teach them about proportions and distances as well as to recognise details. Painting is crucial to the ability to write, enhances concentration and self-confidence, and requires courage and initiative. Craft projects strengthen team spirit and enable people to spend quality time together as they create masterpieces such as a dinosaur or a caterpillar, which will for evermore remind them of the shared experience. Such projects also teach children to use different materials and how new forms can be created from them. For example, how a flat sheet of paper can suddenly become a boat or a plane. At the same time, free, creative design without any pressure to perform is something that all children find fun. They can’t do anything wrong as such design has no rules.

LITTLE ARTIST

ART AND CRAFT PAINT FOR LITTLE ARTISTS AGED 3 AND OVER

When little artists get their hands on paint, this needs to adhere to canvas, paper, card, stone, polystyrene, wood and terracotta. Children love the bright, vibrant colours. Paint with a good opacity is also extremely important for little artists so that every brush stroke brings them joy. The creamy paints can be easily applied with a brush, sponge, paint roller or palette knife. Plus, little ones won’t get impatient as the paint dries quickly! If a little paint misses the intended surface, it’s not a problem as Little Artist will wash off most textiles at temperatures of 30 °C or above when washed promptly. Ideal for a huge range of art and craft projects plus optimally tailored to the needs of children aged 3 and over. Little Artist belongs in every child’s room.

What happens if yellow and blue paint meet?

Simply try it and see. The Little Artist paints can be thinned with water and mixed together!

TIME TO BRIGHTEN THINGS UP

The Little Artist paints come in an impressive range of 14 beautifully bright colours. There are also plenty of basic colours so that little artists can mix their own shades too.

GREAT IDEAS

True artists can create genuine works of art from any material. With a bit of paint, a newspaper becomes a painting on the fridge, a stone from the playground becomes a cute character, a milk carton becomes a rocket and an egg box becomes a dragon. Fascinating techniques such as printing, stamping, rolling, stencilling, transferring or even using marbles impress artists of all ages, both young and old.

Printing and stamping technique

With the right tools, there’s no stopping you or your child. Simply apply some paint to the sponges and stamps and you’re ready to go. Even everyday objects such as leaves or forks are great for this technique.

Rolling technique

Paint rollers can be used to create wonderful backgrounds or even entire pictures. Doing so is great fun for little ones!

Stencilling technique

Home-made stencils are easy to create – simply cut out a shape from some cardboard then apply the paint with a stippling brush. There are no limits to the imagination here.

Marble technique

Place a white sheet of paper in a box. Apply a few blobs of paint onto the paper and add some marbles. Move the box around so the marbles roll through the paint and create fabulous streaks of colour.

Transfer technique

Fold a piece of paper down the middle. Add some paint to the paper then fold it over to create wonderful pictures like a colourful butterfly.

Little Artist art and craft paint, finger paint, watercolours and pens can all be used on the artist’s art and craft paper, which is glued on one side and suitable for all painting and stamping techniques. Not all brushes are the same. For the very youngest of artists, we recommend hog bristle brushes. Patient and robust, these brushes will endure anything. Synthetic bristle brushes are ideal for more advanced artists as they can create fine, precise lines. The high-quality, elastic, synthetic bristles enable paint to be richly applied and are a joy for children to use. The quality brushes for little artists are suitable for almost all paints, such as Little Artist art and craft paints, acrylic and textile paints as well as opaque paints. The robust, seamless aluminium ferrules on both brush models offer excellent stability and durability. The brush handles are made of FSC™-certified wood (wood from forests managed to the highest standards) as we are naturally committed to sustainable forestry for the benefit of our little artists’ futures.
