Greater Bethel partnered with the Love and Serve Group to sponsor “Super Fun Saturday Field Day!” A back-to-school celebration that took place in the parking lot of the church on Saturday, August 13th. Brother Aaron Manzy, Greater Bethel member and leader in the Love and Serve Group, described the day as “a successful community event that was enjoyable to kids of all ages.” Food, games and back to school supplies were provide for the nearly fifty families who were our guest for the day. A Fantastic Community Worship Service And Welcome Reception Pastor Marben Teaches From Acts: 4:32
The Athens community came to welcome Reverend Marben Bland in a worship service and reception on August 13th. In her role as worship leader, Judge Patricia Barron welcomed community and spiritual leaders including Athens-Clarke Mayor, Kelly Girtz, Author Frenchy J. Hodges and Augusta North Presiding Elder Reverend Doctor Toni Belin Ingram. In a sermon from Act 4:32 entitled “This Is Us” Pastor Marben described a post Pentecost community where believers were of one heart and mind. Retired Rev.
