INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS To the installer: please read installation procedure carefully before proceeding. Aquaseal shower base may not require checking into framework. check recommended installation methods for fitting before installing base. A Water resistant plaster board. Aquaseal shower base has a 9mm tile flange, place base against framework. Install water resistant plaster board directly on top of tile flange and seal joint with flexible silicone sealant. B Villa board. When using villa board the Aquaseal base will need to be checked into

Timber floor.

1 Floor boards or sheet flooring must cover the entire underside of base. Cut hole through floor no greater than 200mm x 200mm. Note (if doing a renovation please check floor boards for soundness). Rotting may have occurred and flooring may need replacing. 2 Spread a 4:1 Washed Sand/Cement mortar bed over entire area where base is to be installed and trowel off level or use a cement based tile adhesive spread on floor with a 12mm notched trowel to ensure all base is fully supported. *Do not use silicone and/or liquid nails to install base. 3 Lay shower base on prepared levelled mortar bed and using a spirit level ensure base is level both side to side and front to rear. This will allow base to drain effectively as it has inbuilt fall to the waste outlet. 4 Finally it is imperative to test for water run off to the waste outlet prior to lining or tiling shower walls.This will ensure base is draining correctly. Failure to do so will be a breach of the guarantee.

Concrete slab.

1 Boxed opening in slab must not exceed 300mm in width underneath showerbase. 2 Spread a 4:1 Washed Sand/Clement mortar bed over entire area where base is to be installed and trowel off level. 3 Lay shower base on prepared levelled mortar bed and using a spirit level ensure base is level both side to side and front to rear. This will allow base to drain effectively as it has inbuilt fall to the waste outlet. 4 At this point it is imperative to test for water run off to outlet prior to backfilling opening in slab to ensure base drains correctly. Failure to do so will be a breach of the guarantee. 5 Backfill opening in slab with a 4:1 Washed Sand and Cement Mix ensuring the mortar is packed tightly around waste outlet and all the way back into the boxed section of the slab. and up to the under side of the base to give full support around the outlet. NOTE : Where required by regulation plastic pipe & fittings may need to be lagged prior to back filling. It is recommended that cover and protect this base until it comes into service. in case of damage, instructions and repair kit are available from the manufacturer. WARNING Guarantee will be voided if temperature from tap exceeds 55oc and above instructions are not adhered to exactly. CLEANING The surface of this base will resist surface build-up. However, to preserve its high lustre it may be cleaned with a soft cloth using warm soapy water or household detergent. Avoid all forms of abrasive. If accidental abrasions occur the surface brilliance can be restored by polishing with â&#x20AC;&#x153;Marbletrend Ultra Glossâ&#x20AC;? or similar silicone-based polish.

It is recommended that you cover and protect this base until it comes into service. In case of damage, a repair kit with instructions is available from Marbletrend. 6. A silicone join is required between the acrylic shower wall/tiles and the shower base before the shower screen is fitted. Silicone is also required around the tap spindles and shower rose outlet

Finally it is imperative to test for water run off to the waste outlet prior to lining or tiling shower walls.This will ensure base is draining correctly. Failure to do so will breach the guarantee.

It is recommended that you cover and protect his base until it comes into service. In case of damage, instructions and repair kit are available from Marbletrend.

Silicone the bottom edge of the shower wall to the base before the screen is fitted. Silicone is also required around the tap spindles and shower rose outlet after the bracing is removed.

Hampton Shower Base Installation Instructions TOOLâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;S REQUIRED > Tape Measure > Soft Pencil > Spirit Level > Knife Your Marbletrend Acrylic Shower Tray has been manufactured to the highest possible standards. Please inspect your new shower unit before installation as no claims will be accepted after installation. 1 Use plasterboard (green) to line your walls. The plasterboard must be double nailed or screwed in to studs at 200mm minimum centres. 2 Place the shower tray into position. The tray has a protective film to prevent surface damage and should not be removed until the installation is complete. Mark around the tray with a pencil. Measure 10mm above your pencil line and cut away the plasterboard. 3 Cut hole through floor no greater than 125mm x 125mm (concrete 150mm x 150mm). 4 Ensure floor is clean and all dust is removed. Place a liberal amount of silicone on all supports on the underside of the tray. Note: Ensure all feet are making contact with the floor. For unlevel installation a 4:1 mortar bed may be required. Position the shower tray under the cut away plasterboard (hard against timber stud). Ensure the tray is level and fully supported. Floor boards or sheet flooring must cover the entire underside of the base. WARRANTY WILL BE VOID IF THE BASE IS NOT FULY SUPPORTED . 5 Do not remove protective film until wall lining is ready to be fitted.

1. Boxed opening in slab must not exceed 300mm in width underneath shower base. 2. Spread a 10mm min. thick mortar bed of 4:1 Washed Sand/Cement over entire area where base is to be installed and trowel off level or use a cement based tile adhesive spread on floor with a 12mm notched trowel to ensure all base is fully supported. *Do not use silicone and/or liquid nails to install base. 3. Lay shower base on prepared levelled mortar bed and using a spirit level ensure base is level both side to side and front to rear.This will allow base to drain effectively as it has inbuilt fall to the waste outlet. 4. At this point it is imperative to test for water run off to outlet prior to backfilling opening in slab to ensure base drains correctly. Failure to do so will be a breach of the guarantee. 5. Backfill opening in slab with a 4:1 Washed Sand and Cement Mix ensuring the mortar is packed tightly around waste outlet and all the way back into the boxed section of the slab and up to the under side of the base to give full support around the outlet. Note: Where required by regulation plastic pipe & fittings may need to be lagged prior to back filling. Note: It is recommended installation practice to check the edge of the shower base into the wall by the width of the tiling flange in order to provide a leak-free join with the wall cladding material (see diagram). CLEANING The surface of this base will resist surface build-up. However, to preserve its high lustre it may be cleaned with a soft cloth using warm soapy water or household detergent. Tile Tray Installation Instructions It is the responsibilty of the installer of the Marbletrend tile tray to check with local building code in relation to waterproofing and installation. These instructions are a recommended method only. The installation of the puddle flange and outlet is the responsibility of the installer to ensure a water tight seal between tray and puddle flange, Marbletrend can only supply recommended methods of installation.

INSTALLATION TO TIMBER FLOORS Ensure sub floor is sound and if required replace any timber that may be effected by weather damage or rotting. If installing direct to floor joists ensure sub floor is strengthened as per diagram 1. Failure to follow these instructions will void warranty.

INSTALLATION OF TILES TO TRAY For direct glueing of tiles to tray, Marbletrend recommends epoxy adhesives, or similar product. Ensure tray is clean from dirt and dust, using metholated spirits will assist in removing dust. Allow to dry before commencement of installation.

If the tray needs to be cut down it is recommended to use a diamond saw blade only. Eye protection and dust mask are also recommended. Only cut tray in a well ventilated area or in the open.

SMART SEAL SMARTSEAL (used in conjunction with a SMARTPAN), is a breakthrough in installing baths and shower bases flat on the floor. A flexible PVC lid, 250mm in diameter held in place with a stainless steel pressure ring, allowing completely adjustable positioning horizontally and vertically. The waterproof connection between a bath or shower base and a SMARTPAN also allows subsequent removal without requiring access to the connection.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Seal threaded waste to bath and tighten. Push the stainless steel ring into the inside of the SMARTSEAL (about halfway down the upstand). Apply bead of silicone onto ledge in SMARTPAN. Carefully position the SMARTSEAL with ring facing up and push down onto ledge in the SAMRTPAN. Push ring down firmly into the corner of the SMARTSEAL with a piece of wood or similar (don’t puncture the SMARTSEAL). To create an “interference fit” – cut a hole 10mm diameter smaller than the OD of bath waste thread in appropriate location on lid a minimum of 20mm from the edge of the SMARTPAN ledge and apply silicone around thread to seal joint. Lower a bath or shower base onto the SMARTPAN (NB threaded waste may have to be cut to length to enable correct discharge of waste water into the SMARTPAN). Cut hole in polystyrene disc for the waste and place into SMARTSEAL to provide packing between underside of

bath or shower and SMARTSEAL. Packing is necessary to prevent the flexible lid from lifting in the unlikely event of backpressure from the sewer line. The SMARTSEAL flexible lid allows underside of bath and back-nut to push down into the SMARTPAN, enabling an installation right down onto the floor.
