Aruba 2000 Installation Instructions

Please inspect the product immediately upon receipt for transit damage, missing packs/parts or manufacturing faults. Damage reported later cannot be accepted. Please handle the product with care avoiding knocks and shock loading to all sides and edges of glass. Damaged glass or missing parts will not be replaced under warranty if the installation process has begun. Notes: safety glass cannot be reworked Please read these instructions carefully before you start installation. Special care should be taken when drilling walls to avoid hidden pipes or electrical cables. Securing into a stud or timber brace is highly recommended, if unable to do so, other secure means of fixing must then be considered. AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS After use, your shower should be cleaned with soap and water.T his is particularly important in hard water districts where insoluble lime salts may be deposited and allowed to build up. Cleaners of a gritty nature should not be used. Care should be taken to avoid contact with strong chemicals such as organic solvents and strippers. Glass cleaners can be used but with caution. I f in doubt please contact the manufacturer of the cleaner in question. Please keep these instructions for aftercare and customer service details. 12 MONTH WARRANTY The warranty covers faults in the product construction, material and assembly. Faulty products will be repaired or exchanged free of charge. Faulty items become our property. In the event of a warranty claim, we will repair or replace defective products or pay for the cost of having defective products repaired or replaced, but will not be liable for any injury to any person, damage to any property, and indirect or inconsequential loss, or in any other respect. This warranty does not include faults caused by: Unsuitable or improper use. Incorrect installation. Normal wear and tear. Inadequate or complete lack of maintenance. Chemical, electrochemical or electrical influences. TOOLS REQUIRED This product is heavy and may require 2 people to install.

STEP A â&#x20AC;&#x201C; FRONT DOOR SINGLE SIDED INSTALLATION ONLY Measure your shower base / shower area. The measurement to the outside edge of the wall jambs (1 & 10) should be somewhere within the minimum and maximum of the screen size. See chart to the left. Note: If using the maximum size make sure that you allow for walls that may out of plumb. If your walls are 10mm out of plumb reduce your screen size area by this amount. Aruba 2000 Installation Instructions B Using a level ensure jamb (1 & 10) are plumb then mark the

outside edge with a pencil.Then mark your pre-drilled screw holes that are on the inside of the jamb (1) and on the tab of jamb (10).Tab to be on the inside of shower. C Remove jambs and drill 6mm holes into walls with drill bit. Insert plastic wall plugs (9) that are provided. Note: Please use the correct or most suitable fixing for the surface you are screwing into, to ensure the jamb is securely fixed to the wall eg. toggle wall plug. D Using a level, ensure jamb (1) is plumb and the holes in the jamb line up with the holes in the wall. Fix jamb to wall using the screws provided (8). E Slide front assembly (4) into jamb (1) Hint: Insert top or bottom corner first then you will find that the rest of the panel will slide in easily. Slide jamb (10) onto the other end of the front assembly and make sure the tab is to the inside of the shower area. See picture. F Pivot the front assembly (4) into position and line up wall jamb (10) with the holes in the wall and the pencil line. Fix jamb (10) to the wall using the screws provided (8). Continue to step G on page 8 for further installation instructions. Now fix off the bottom rail at the location pictured on the inside of the screen. Using a level ensure front assembly and side panel are vertical. Now drill 3.2mm holes then fix with screws (6) as shown to top rail of front assembly

Aruba 2000 Installation Instructions I Install handle as per diagram I. Ensure all washers are

between the handle and the glass Tighten screws so the handle is firm and does not move, do not over tighten. J Apply silicone sealer around all external joints of

shower screen and allow 24 hours for silicone to set. Silicone is not used on the inside of the shower screen because in time water can build up within the wall jamb and make the screen leak out of the shower area. The screens are designed to allow the water to return into the shower area if any is present. Screens that are sealed on the inside, will void warranty.

Slide top post onto the threaded rod, making sure the post is facing the right way Put standard screw into cap base then into washer then into the lower hole in the glass. On the other side of the glass slide the lower post onto the standard screw, making sure the post faces the right way Bring the handle up to the glass, allowing the top post to locate into the hole in the glass. Fix the knob onto the threaded rod, making sure the washer is between the glass and the knob. Line up the hole in the handle with the standard screw and post assembly. Screw tightly together. Place cap over cap base.

Then mark your pre-drilled screw holes that are on the inside of the jamb (1) and on the tab of jamb (10).Tab to be on the inside of shower. See diagram A above. C Remove jambs and drill 6mm holes into walls with drill bit. Insert plastic wall plugs (9) that are provided. Note: Please use the correct or most suitable fixing for the surface you are screwing into, to ensure the jamb is securely fixed to the wall eg. toggle wall plug. D Using a level, ensure jamb (1) is plumb and the holes in the jamb line up with the holes in the wall. Fix jamb to wall using the screws provided (8). E Slide fixed panel (2) into wall jambs (1). Hint: Insert top or bottom corner first then you will find that the rest of the panel will slide in easily. F Slide front of fixed panel (3) over extrusion on front door assembly (4). Now drill 4 equally spaced holes on the INSIDE of the screen (See aerial view). Fix side panel (2) to front assembly (3) using fixed panel screws 8mm (5). Cap all screws using fixed panel screw caps (6). Slide door front assembly (3) into side panels (2). G Adjust front assembly and fixed side panel so B=C. This is done by sliding the fixed panel in or out of the wall extrusion for the fixed panel sides. For the front, the top and bottom rails of the front assembly slide apart for adjustment. Now fix off the bottom rail on the inside of the screen at the location pictured. Using a level ensure front assembly and side panel are vertical. Now drill 3.2mm hole then fix screws (5) as shown to top rail of front assembly.

bottom rail (4) using the screws provided (11). Make sure the mounting block is facing the right way. S ee A1. Make sure the mounting block is in the middle of its adjustment range. Place the bottom door hinge (7) which is already attached to the door into the bottom mounting block (6). Try to keep the door (5) as vertical as possible to prevent damage. Slide the second mounting block (6) onto the top hinge (7). Make sure that the mounting block is facing the right way. See A1. Screw mounting block (6) to the top rail (4) using the screws provided (11). Adjustment to the door (5) is made by loosing the screws (11) and sliding the hinge mounting block (6) along the rail. Adjust the door panel so that there is an equal gap between it and the fixed panels (2) & (3). Also make sure the top rail (4) and the top of the door (5) have an equal gap. Now tighten the hinge mounting blocks.

On the other side of the glass slide the lower post onto the standard screw, making sure the post faces the right way Step 4 Bring the handle up to the glass, allowing the top post to locate into the hole in the glass. Fix the knob onto the threaded rod, making sure the washer is between the glass and the knob. Step 5 Line up the hole in the handle with the standard screw and post assembly. Screw tightly together. Step 6 Place cap over cap base.

Silicone is not used on the inside of the shower screen because in time water can build up within the wall jamb and made the screen leak out of the shower area.The screens are designed to allow the water to return into the shower area if any is present. Fix off the fixed panels (2) using the fixed panel screw bases (21), screws (19) and caps (20). I Attached the bottom hinge mounting block (5) to the bottom rail (3) using the screws provided (10). Make sure the mounting block is facing the right way. See A1. Make sure the mounting block is in the middle of its adjustment range. Place the bottom door hinge (6) which is already attached to the door into the bottom mounting block (5). Try to keep the door (4) as vertical as possible to prevent damage. Slide the second mounting block (5) onto the top hinge (6). Make sure that the mounting block is facing the right way. See A1. Screw mounting block (5) to the top rail (3) using the screws provided (10). Adjustment to the door (4) is made by loosing the screws (10) and sliding the hinge mounting block (5) along the rail. SQUARE & NEO INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION 1 Establish if the door is to open from the left or right. Note: the door always opens out from the shower enclosure. Fit the wall jamb cap 5â&#x20AC;&#x201C;10mm in from the edge of the shower base using a spirit level to ensure the jamb cap is plumb and then fasten the jamb cap to the wall with the screws supplied. 2 Fit the return wall jamb cap to the adjacent wall using the supplied 40mm screws. Use a spirit level to ensure the jamb cap is plumb. 3 Place return panel into the wall channel. 4 Fit the shower door into the wall jamb with the fixed panel away from the return panel. Open door, check that the door opens and closes and that the top edge of the door panel is level with the head rail. 7 Apply silicone sealer around all of the outside joins of the shower door frame and jamb caps, leave for 24 hours. Take special care not to get silicone on clothing. If you get the sealer smeared anywhere on the frame, wipe off with a clean dry cloth then clean off residue with a cloth moistened with methylated spirits. shower base using a spirit level, plumb wall jambs and mark hole positions with a pencil. Drill 6mm hole through wall lining for a wall plug. Fit wall plugs (2) and with screws (8) provided, fix the wall profile and wall jamb to the wall with screw provided as per diagram.

Then mark your pre-drilled screw holes that are on the inside of the jamb (1) and on the tab of jamb (10).Tab to be on the inside of shower. See diagram A above. Note: Please use the correct or most suitable fixing for the surface you are screwing into, to ensure the jamb is securely fixed to the wall eg. toggle wall plug. Securing into a stud or timber brace is highly recommended, if unable to do so, other secure means of fixing must then be considered. front panel (18). See A1 for detail of the hinge assembly.The hinge comes with the counter sunk caps, counter sunk cap washers, square plastic washers and screws all assembled together. Disassemble the hinge fittings and the hinge itself.The lower hinge point is to be fitted to the fixed front panel (18) and the upper hinge point is to be fitted to the door panel (12). H Using a level ensure hinges on both the fixed front panel and on the door panel are level. Ensure the screws are all fixed at the centre of the adjustment point on both the door and the fixed front panel. Note: Both sides of the hinge need to have their fixing screws set to the centre of their adjustment. If this is not done there is a high chance of damaging the glass on both the door and the fixed panel when the door is hung. I Gently knock on the magnetic seals (11) to the door panel (12) and the fixed side panel (6). J Carefully hang the door onto the fixed side panel. K Using the fixing screws on the hinge to adjust the door so that the door panel (12) lines up with the fixed side panel (6). Hint: There is adjustment in the magnetic seal by moving it in and out from the glass. There is also adjustment in the bracket if required. Note: Do not over adjust hinge. The gap between the door panel and the fixed panel should be less than 5mm and not more the 15mm. L Clean the hinges (14) before sliding the hinge covers into place. Lock the coves by tightening the screws on the edge of the hinge covers. Hint: Position the hinge cover screws so they are out of sight when viewed from a standing position. M Install handle onto the door panel. Note: Make sure washers are always between the glass and the metal parts of the handle

N Install the splash guard. See note at end of section N

before starting. Install the gaskets (9) on the bottom of both fixed panels. See N 1. Slide the splash guard clamps (15) over the gaskets. See N 1 & N 2. Slide splash guard into opening on one splash guard clamps. Slide splash guard as far as possible into that splash guard clamp. Install the second splash guard clamp on the fixed panel. Now slide the splash guard out of the first splash guard clamp and into the second splash guard clamp. Lock the splash guard clamp into the splash guard using the locking screw as shown. The screwing of the splash guard clamps to the base/ shower area is dependant on your application. Silicon is an acceptable way of fixing the splash guard and splash guard clamps to the floor. Note: If your shower base/area has a front tile lip / hob then you may want to try using the shower with the water deflector (8) only. If you find too much water is escaping then install the splash guard. O Fit the sealing strip (13) to the door panel (12). Note: The extended flap should be on the inside of the shower screen. Fit the water deflector (8) to the bottom of the door panel (12). Note: The flap should be on the inside of the shower screen. P Silicone the inside of the screen where the fixed side panel and the fixed front panel joins the wall and the floor. Allow 24 hours for the silicone to dry before using the shower. Cleaners of a gritty or abrasive nature should not be used. Care should be taken to avoid contact with strong chemicals such as solvents and strippers.

SINGLE SIDED INSTALLATION ONLY B Using a level ensure jamb (1 & 10) are plumb then mark the outside edge with a pencil. Then mark your pre-drilled screw holes that are on the inside of the jamb (1) and on the tab of jamb (10).Tab to be on the inside of shower. See diagram A above. C Remove jambs and drill 6mm holes into walls with drill bit. Insert plastic wall plugs (9) that are provided. Note: Please use the correct or most suitable fixing for the surface you are screwing into, to ensure the jamb is securely fixed to the wall eg. toggle wall plug. D Using a level, ensure jamb (1) is plumb and the holes in the jamb line up with the holes in the wall. Fix jamb to wall using the screws provided (8). E Slide front assembly (4) into jamb (1). Hint: Insert top or bottom corner first then you will find that the rest of the panel will slide in easily. Slide jamb (10) onto the other end of the front assembly and make sure the tab is to the inside of the shower area. See picture. F Pivot the front assembly (4) into position and line up wall jamb (10) with the holes in the wall and the pencil line. Fix jamb (10) to the wall using the screws provided (8). Continue to step G on page 8 for further installation instructions. Now fix off the bottom rail at the location pictured on the inside of the screen. U sing a level ensure front assembly and side panel are vertical. N ow drill 3.2mm holes then fix with screws (6) as shown to top rail of front assembly.

Special care should be taken when drilling walls to avoid hidden pipes or electrical cables. Securing into a stud or timber brace is highly recommended, if unable to do so, other secure means of fixing must then be considered. STEPS C - F C Line the fixed panels (6 & 13) up with the marks on

the wall. Using a pencil mark the locations for the fixing holes in the wall through the bracket fitted on the panels. Note: Ensure the Flat glassScrew is flush up to the wall M4x35 and sitting flat on the base / shower area floor. Note: If you decide to use the glass clip (8) please place it under the fixed side panel (6) then level side panel before marking fixing holes in bracket (4) and hole location on glass clip (8). See detail.

D Drill holes on the wall lining using a 6mm drill bit. Make

sure the correct drill bit is used for the material being drilled out. E Insert wall plugs (1) provided. Line fixed panels (6 &

13) up with the marked line and fix off the brackets using the flat head screws (12) provided. If using glass clip (8) fix this to base first using screw (7) make sure the screw is sealed with silicone. Note: If wall plugs are not appropriate for your application please use other means of securely fixing the brackets to the wall. Using the level ensure the fixed panels (6 & 13) are level and vertical before firmly tightening all screws (2 & 12).

(13). then place the joining cap over both noting the location of the glass.

H Check that the return panel (14) is at 90o to the front

panel (13). Using a pencil trace around the return panel. Place the glass clip (8) under the return panel (14). The glass clip (8) can be moved along the return panel to compensate for the fall of the shower base / area. Adjust the glass clip location so that the return panel sits flush with the front panel and the top of the return panel and front panel are level. Now mark the location of the glass clip on the shower base / area. Now remove the return panel (14) and place in a safe location. I With the glass clip (8) in the correct location, mark the

hole to be drilled. Drill a 6mm hole 25mm deep. Insert Wall Plug (1) Place silicone into hole to seal hole. Place a small layer of silicone on the bottom of the glass clip (8), and fix to base / area using screw (7) supplied. Seal around the top of screw.

J Place a bead of silicone on the edge of the return

panel (14). Now carefully bring the return panel up to the front panel (13). Make sure the return panel sits on the inside face of the front panel. See J1. Make sure the bottom of the return panel is on the inside of the glass clip (8). Make sure the top of the return panel and the top of the front panel are level. See J1. When the panels are firmly pressed together, place the joining cap (11) on top of the return panel and the front panel. See J2

K Now check to make sure the black rubber cover is

still on the locking screw on the inside of the glass clips (8). This is a very important part and if it has been damaged it must be replaced with a small section of rubber or plastic to prevent the glass from damaging. Note: You can tape the return panel (14) to the front panel (13) while the silicone is wet so that a neat even join can be achieved between the panels.

SINGLE SIDED INSTALLATION ONLY B Using a level ensure jamb (1 & 10) are plumb then mark the outside edge with a pencil. Then mark your pre-drilled screw holes that are on the inside of the jamb (1) and on the tab of jamb (10).Tab to be on the inside of shower. See diagram A above. C Remove jambs and drill 6mm holes into walls with drill bit. Insert plastic wall plugs (9) that are provided. Note: Please use the correct or most suitable fixing for the surface you are screwing into, to ensure the jamb is securely fixed to the wall eg. toggle wall plug. D Using a level, ensure jamb (1) is plumb and the holes in the jamb line up with the holes in the wall. Fix jamb to wall using the screws provided (8). E Slide front assembly (4) into jamb (1). Hint: Insert top or bottom corner first then you will find that the rest of the panel will slide in easily. Slide jamb (10) onto the other end of the front assembly and make sure the tab is to the inside of the shower area. See picture. F Pivot the front assembly (4) into position and line up wall jamb (10) with the holes in the wall and the pencil line. Fix jamb (10) to the wall using the screws provided (8). Continue to step G on page 8 for further installation instructions. DOUBLE SIDED INSTALLATION ONLY A Measure your shower base / shower area.The measurement to the outside edge of the wall jambs (1 & 10) should be somewhere within the minimum and maximum of the screen size. See chart to the left. Note: If using the maximum size make sure that you allow for walls that may be out of plumb. If your walls are 10mm out of plumb reduce your screen size area by this amount.

STEP 3: INSTALL RAIL A Insert the rail(7) into the rail bracket(17) next connect the rail using rail support sets(20). M8×22 screw goes through the rail, then through the steel washer, then through the plastic washer then through the glass. Insert the M8 button from the outside of the glass then fix this to the screw coming the other way. Connect them losely. Repeat for second support set; B Adjust side panel(2) to be parallel to shower base edge, if necessary, adjust the fixed panel(6) to ensure that the rail is not out of the bracket, use the screw in the bracket to fix off the rail(allen key). Now firmly fix the rail support screws(M8×22) using the allen key provided. STEP 4: INSTALL DOOR A Install the roller set(18) to door panel(4).Rollers should face outside of showers. Push M8×22 screw through outside of roller then fit plastic washer to glass side. Push roller through hole in door. From in side of door screw on M8 button(make sure plastic washer is fitted). Use allen key to tighten; B1 Hang the door on the rail from inside of the shower; B2 Carefully slide the door till it touches the side panel. Check the gap between door & side panel . If gap is more than 4mm at bottom adjust as follows. Remove door. Remove roller close to side panel. Insert adjusting washer(22). If gap more than 8mm break washer in half and put both layers to top of hole in glass door. Reinstall roller as per step A. If the gap is in the top of the door adjust the other roller(furthest away from side panel) only; B3 Hang door and check gap again. If gap 4mm or less fit chrome caps to outside face of rollers; C Install the sliding block(10) to the fixed panel(4). Insert end block(9) onto side panel(2); D Install the lock in knob set(19) into holes in door panel(4). The M8 button to the inside of the door and the chrome knob with screw on the outside. M Apply silicone sealer around all external joints of shower

screen and allow 24 hours for silicone to set. Note: Do not silicone inside of shower screen.
