Com a promessa de apresentar aos apreciadores da testa de Memo um espetaculo cada dia mais profissional e organizado, mas sem perder o brilho, o encanto e a alegria que o foliao espera encontrar, reunimos esfon;:os e coopera9ao para mais uma vez mostrar o potencial do samba paulistano. Como este ana o carnaval acontece mais cede, na primeira semana de fevereiro, os trabalhos precisaram ser antecipados, exigindo uma grande estrategia e um intense planejamento, para que em mementos delicados, como o que vem atravessando a nossa economia brasileira, n6s pudessemos, mesmo diante das d ificuldades, apresentar um desfile primoroso. Dentre varias vit6rias, uma grande conquista da LIGASP foi que n6s conseguimos, junto ao Ministerio Publico, a cessao de uma area para a constru9ao des barrac6es das escolas. Em contrapartida, a LIGASP fica responsavel per toda a execu9ao da obra - a const rw;:ao de 20 galp6es que irao atender as oito agremia96es do grupo de Acesso e tambem as 12 agremia96es da UESP. A ideia e que ate 2017, oito galp6es atendam ao grupo de Acesso, para que no mesmo ana possamos dar infcio aos galp6es que atenderao ao grupo 1.Vale ressaltar que tivemos apoio do secretario de Esportes Celso Jatene, um grande parceiro do carnaval. Apesar dessa crise mundial, a testa nao perdera o seu encanto. Hoje, observamos grandes escolas preparando grandes projetos, arrumando parceiros, e isso me da a certeza de que o carnaval se supera a cada ana, e certamente daremos continuidade aos grandes desfiles des grupos Especial e Acesso. Temos algumas novidades. A LIGASP vinha amadurecendo a id eia e decidimos implantar ja no infcio des ensaios tecnicos, o projeto de acesso da loja ffsica e virtual no Samb6dromo, oferecendo como atrativo ao nosso publico, a possibilidade de as pessoas adquirirem um souvenir, uma recorda9ao do seu carnaval, do seu memento especial. No ultimo carnaval, a LIGASP confeccionou um bone personalizado com o seu logo para o usc des nossos colaboradores e percebemos que o mesmo virou um objeto de desejo entre os foli6es, entao acreditamos que e um tipo de produto escasso: isso despertou uma aten9ao maier para atendermos as necessidades do nosso publico: LIGASP pretende gerir uma boutique e/ou montar uma grife, a tim de atender aos amantes do carnaval paulistano.

The L/GASP President, Paulo Sergio Ferreira, the Serginho, talks about the 2016 Carnival and about the entity work. Fulfilling the promise of presenting to the Momo party lovers a more professional and organized show, but without losing the brightness, charm and joy that the reveler are expecting, we once again joined forces and cooperation to show the potential of the Sao Paulo samba! The Carnival will happen earlier in the first week of February, the work had to be anticipate and it demands a great strategy and an intense planning, to present an excellent show despite of the delicate moments that comes through our Brazilian economy, so that we can have a great Parade. Among some triumphs a great achievement of LIGASP along with Ministerio Publico got an area to build the samba schools warehouses. The LigaSP is responsible for building the 20 sheds that will serve the eight associations of the access group and a/so the twelve associations of UESP. The idea is that in 20 17 there will be eight sheds for the access group schools and in the same year we can initiate the construction of the sheds for the group 1.We must say that the Sports Secretary Celso Janene have supported us, he is a great partner of the carnival. Despite this global crisis, the party will not lose its charm. Today we observe the big samba schools preparing large projects, arranging partnerships and it gives me the certainty that the carnival excels every year, and certainly we will continue the great parades of special groups and access. We have some news. The L/GASP had the idea and decided to implement at the beginning of technical tests, the design of the physical and virtual shops in the Sambadrome, offering it as an attractive to our audience, the ability of people to get a souvenir, a reminder of carnival, a special moment. Last carnival L/GASP created a cap with its logo for our employees and we noticed that it became an object of desire among the revelers, then we believe it is a type of short supply, this aroused greater attention in order to supply the needs of our audience, and L/GASP wants to have a store or launch a brand in order to meet the lovers of the Sao Paulo carnival.

Sao tantas criangas de realidades de vida completamente diferentes e classes sociais diversas, mas que como soar do tamborim ou no primeiro grito de guerra do interprete se transformam e os olhos brilham igualmente. Estes pequenos a cada ano se multiplicam enos dao mais seguranga de que o samba nao se acabara. Pelas quadras, cada um vai agregando as caracterfsticas de suas Entidades, ganhando a forga e a destreza de sambistas experientes, alem de nos encantarem com sua dogura e sagacidade. Feliz daquele que pode ver o futuro do samba ser construfdo com bases tao s6lidas. A cada ano aparecem mais integrantes dessa nova safra e aparecem nomes promissores como interprete mirim Joao Victor, enteado do experiente cantor e compositor Thiago de Xang6, de apenas 1o anos. 0 garoto vive em um ambiente extremamente musical, sua mae Karina Vicente tambem e cantora e incentiva o garoto a se especializar em elementos da musica. 11 Eie ja toea violao, cavaco e esta iniciando nas aulas de piano11 , revela a mae orgulhosa. Quando indagado sobre o que gosta de fazer, Joao e enfatico ao revelar a paixao pela cantoria. 0 pequeno cantor ja tem experiencia na profissao, sempre acompanha ~

A equipe formada atualmente por seis passistas iniciou seus trabalhos em 2013, quando a integrante 11 mais anti gall Maryanne Brandao tinha apenas 09 anos. Maryanne, Mayra, Ingrid, Giovanna, Laura e Ludmila tem aulas durante os meses de maio a setembro para aprimorarem tecnicas de samba no pe, postura e cond icionamento ffsico . Sob a supervisao da responsavel pela ala de passistas da Vermelho e Amarela - Val Diniz e coordenagao direta de Pamela Sabino, as meninas espelham-se nas passistas adultas e crescem com o senso de responsabilidade, amor ao Pavilhao, respeito e, principalmente, a importancia do trabalho em equipe como formula para o sucesso. 0 crescimento da participagao das criangas e tao grande que as escolas a cada dia que passam se preocupam mais em inseri-los na realidade do carnaval. Uma prova disso sao as baterias mirins presentes na maioria das Agremiag6es, alem de casais de mestre-sala e porta-bandeira e ate comiss6es de frente . Uma semana antes do carnaval 2016, acontece o primeiro batizado de uma Escola totalmente formada por

A Nene do Amanha ja desfila ha alguns anos pelas ruas do bairro mas quem sabe em um futuro proximo, Sao Paulo consiga fazer os desfiles das escolas mirins, com a mesma maestria que o Rio de Janeiro ja faz?

Living with children in the middle of the carnival is one of the most enjoyable activities of a samba musician. There are so many children coming from different realities and social classes, but with the sound of the tambourine or the first interpreter shout they change and their eyes a/so shine. These little kids multiply every year and . gtve us more assurance that the samba will never end. In tthe samba schools, each one aggregates the characteristics of theirgroups, gaining strength and dexterity of the experienced samba musician, and enchant us with their sweetness and wisdom. Blessed is the one who can see the future of samba being built in so solid foundations. Every year there are more members of this new generation and it also appears promising names as the junor samba theme singer Joao Vitor, 10, who is the stepson of the exp erienced singer and composer Thiago de Xango. The boy lives in a very musical environment, his mother Karina Vicente is a/so a singer and encourages the boy to specialize in the music elements. "He already plays the guitar, the cavaco and is startingthe piano

lessons," says the proud mother. When we ask what he likes to do, Joao is emphatic in revealing a passion for singing. The little singer already has some experience in the profession, he always follow Thiago in the samba theme contests and he already has a samba school interpreter posture .. Other names that also stand out in the carnival, like the incredible junior dancers group of Tom Maior. The team currently consists of six dancers and it began its work in 2013, when the "oldest" participant Maryanne Brandao was only 09 years old. Maryanne, Mayra, Ingrid, Giovanna, Laura and Ludmila have classes during the months from May to September in order to improve their samba dance steps, posture and fitness. Under the supervision of the responsible of this section Val Diniz and direct coordination of Pamela Sabino, the girls are inspired by the adult samba dancers and grow up with a sense of responsibility, love of the samba school flag, respect and, above all, the importance of the teamwork as a formula for success. The growth of the participation of children is so great that the schools day by day are more concerned about inserting them in the carnival reality. A proof of this are the junior drum sections present in most the of associations, and Mestre Salas and Porta Bandeiras and the main troupe . Recently it took place the first baptism of a samba school formed only by children - the Nenedo Amanha- whose components are between 0317 years old and occupy different roles such as interpreters, Baiana, musicians, drummers, dancers, among other tasksthat the kids have to face with responsibility. The Nene do Amanha already has paradedfor some years through the streets but who knows in the near future, Sao Paulo can have parades of junior schools, with the same mastery that we already have in Rio de Janeiro? ~

Para fazer funcionar a grande engrenagem carnavalesca, sao necessaries profissionais anonimos como serralheiros e escultores, outros tantos que exigem mais pu lso firme e voz de comando como os harmonias e diretores de alas , mas existem aqueles cargos que exigem que o sorriso e as tecnicas de dan<;a sejam primordiais, como para os casais de mestre-sala e porta-bandeira e, c lara, as rainhas de baterias , musas e passistas. Quando se fala em carnaval as primeiras imagens representativas sao

delas. Mulheres bonitas, corpos esculturais e samba no pe . Antigamente, quem vinha a frente das baterias izas, que independente do sexo feminine ou masculine, ti n de cadas. mo abrir caminho para que os ritmistas passarem com suas passar dos anos , eles foram sendo substitufdos por mu lheres que se destacavam pelo samba no pe e isso chamava tanta aten9ao paraEi bateria que vinha a seguir quanto os antigos balizas. A Festa de Momo vive em constante evolu9ao e com o passar do tempo nao bastava mais s6 sambar, embora ainda urn quesito obrigat6rio, a beleza da rainha perante as demais mulheres da escola precisava sobressair e a partir de entao a un iao destes dos fatores faziam surgir uma rainha de bateria completa. Todavia, com o aumento da mfdia e a cobertura internacional dos bastidores e do desfile de carnaval, diferentes pessoas come9aram aver nele uma maneira de inser9ao e promo9ao pessoal nos vefculos de comunica9ao. Neste vies, o tftulo de rainha de bateria passou a ser disputado nao s6 pelas mulheres das comunidades, mas tambem por celebridades. Nao importa que seja, 0 que importa e que a fun9a0 exerce papel Serio na avenida. Por exemplo: 0 que a rainha de bateria faz ao perceber urn espa9amento alem do tecnico frente a sua bateria? Obviamente que se ela for conhece-

dora da rotina de ensaios e treinamentos tecnicos sabera ue ela devera a o proocupar o maior espago possfvel ate que o time de harm1 , ..~''"' blema. Mas e se ela nao frequentar a escola, nao mponentes, tao pouco aprender a conversar no olhar com ntes da evolugao da Ag remiagao? Alem disso, aquele fator samba no pe, embora esqneci~o por muitas, ainda e fundamental. 0 que encanta o publico nao sao os beijos e poses que elas apresentando no decorrer da avenida. 0 que encanta ever o furacao nos quadris, ever a poeira sendo levantada na leveza da danga dos pes ao ritmo frenetico das baterias. Gada rainha, independente de ser ou nao da comunidade, deve em respeito ao Pavilhao que defende sambar com alegria, sorriso no rosto e dedicagao! LAJ

E quando acabam os des~iles, a fungao nao se encerra. A rainha de bateria, quando escolhida por sua beleza, simpatia, desenvoltura e samba no pe, passa a ser o espelho das mulheres e criangas de suas Escolas e isso traz consigo uma responsabilidade muito grande. Ela exerce a fungao semelhante a Relag6es Publicas, seu sorriso e sua imagem esta diretamente relacionada a Agremiagao que representa. Ser rainha de bateria e um tftulo que representa muito mais dentro da engrenagem.

When we talk about the carnival they are the first representative images. Beautiful women, sculptural bodies and good samba dancing steps. Then the drum queen title is disputed not only by the women of the communities, but also for celebrities. No matter what is, what matters is that the function has a serious role on the avenue. For example: What does the drum queen realizes a hole beyond the technical in front of herdrum? Obviously if is he has the know-ledge of the technical rehearsa/routine and training she will know that she would occupy more space as possible until the harmo-nies team solve the problem. But what if she does not go to the samba school, she does not know their components, if she does not learn to talk with the eyes with the commanders of the evolution of the school? In that samba dancing skill, although overlooked by many people, is still very important . What enchants the audience are not the kisses and poses they presented during the avenue. What delights people is seeing the hurricanein their hips, it is to see the dust being raised in the lightness of their dancing to the frantic rhythm of the drums. Each queen, regardless being or not from the community should respect the Samba school flags and should dance with joy, smile and dedication! And when the shows finishes, the function does not end. The drum queen who was chosen for her beauty, friendliness, and samba dancing skills, becomes a mirror for women and children from their schools and this brings her a great responsibility. It is a kind of Public Relations, hersmile and her image is directly related to representing the samba school. Being a drum queen is a very important title inside the carnival organization.

路, .BLOCO FUZUE o Bloco Fuzue participou dois dias do Pholia da Luz, do qual tambem participaram Baterias convidadas do G.R.C.S.E.S Vai Vai e da Sociedade Rosas de Ouro, agregando 1800 simpatizantes, no perfodo. A primeira corte foi formada com a Rainha da Bateria Luana Campos (Rainha do Carnaval de Sao Paulo de 2011) , ja a Madrinha foi a socialite e empresaria Cozete Gomes (que participou do reality show Mulheres Ricas) . No ano de 2014, desfilou no mesmo local como bateria convidada da Escola de Samba Mocidade lndependente de Padre Miguel e da Bateria Pirateria da Universidade de Osasco, agregando 2.500 simpatizantes. A Rainha de Bateria foi Elisangela Nicolelis, a Musa foi Jackeline Soares, ja Helena Soares veio como Musa do Rally dos Sert6es. Ja em 2015 o Bloco desfilou na Bela Vista ,Vila Madalena e na abertura das Escolas de Samba do Grupo de Acesso no Samb6dromo do Anhembi. Fez parceria com outras baterias convidadas , novamente com a Bateria do Pirateria da Unifesp, de Osasco, e Bateria 13 FMU - participaram como Rainha, Aline Torres , como a Madrinha, Silvana Reis, e como Princesa Vanessa Marques. Para 2016 estao confirmadas: a Rainha Elisangela Nicolelis, Madrinha sera Silvana Reis, ja o cargo de Musa sera ocupado por Fernanda Rachid e o de Princesa por Emily Patrfc. The Fuzue Block is a traditional car-nival group. It was born under the sign of joy, relaxation: this is the meaning of the Fuzue term. It was founded on October 12th, 1976, the group began as a section of the most traditional samba school the GRCSES Vai-Vai, where it paraded for 39 years. There are components from many locations ofSao Paulo with one goal - to rescue the wholesome street carnival, never forgetting the social and cultural aspect. 11 As we have no funding from the government , we made our abadas and give

lisangela Maria Caetano Nicolelis, nasceu em Sao Pau lo, e genic forte, traz em sua pernalidade a clareza. "Sou justa ra com tude, responsavel (o que acaba me 'segurando' urn pouco)" , diz, em relagao aos varies projetos que tern em mente porque " temo dar urn passe maier que a perna", cementa a rainha do bloco Fuzue, procedente do bairro do Bixiga. Mas, para ela, a alegria de viver recompensa todo o sofrimento e a angustia de quem adora a perfeigao. Ligada a beleza, Elisangela trabalha com urn cirurgiao plastico ha seis anos. 0 estagio de instrumentadora cirurgica perm itiu que visse o outre lade da medicina estetica; depois de urn ano surgiu a oportunidade de cuidar da parte administrativa e financeira do mesmo medico no consult6rio . A busca constante de desafios fez com que prestasse vestibular para Direito, em 2014. Porem, a agenda lotada de compromissos nao permitiu que conciliasse estudos e trabalho. 0 resultado: trancou o curse com a promessa de voltar em breve. A ligagao com o carnaval vern de bergo. "Minha mae sempre esteve envolvida como carnaval : aos oito anos idade ja frequentava a quadra da escola de samba Vai-Vai, uma vez que ela, alem de desfilar tambem costurava para algumas alas da agremiagao entao, estava Ia sempre. Fiquei apaixonada pela escola: era sagrado irmos assistir aos ensaios todos os domingos", relembra Elisangela. A estreia na avenida aconteceu em 1998. 0 curioso e que 0 primeiro desfile foi em outra escola - na Nene de Vila Matilde. Varies blocos tern um objetivo definido: alem de levar alegria, eles ajudam a um grande numero de pessoas e entidades, como eo caso do Bloco Fuzue11 , assevera Elisangela, realgando a proximidade da comunidade com os sambistas. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY QUEEN ELISANGELA IS THE QUEEN OF THE FUZUE CARNIVAL BLOCK Elisangela Maria Caetano Nicolelis was born in Sao Paulo, she has a strong personality, and her main skill is the clarity. "I am a true, fairminded and responsibe person," she says, talking about the various projects she has in mind because "I'm afraid to take a step longer than my leg, " said the Fuzue Carnival Block Queen, she comes fromthe Bixiga neighborhood. But for her, the joy of living rewards all the suffering and anxious of those who love perfection. She is linked to beautyarea; Elisangela has worked with a plastic surgeon doctor for six years. The surgical instrumentation technician intern allowed her to see the other side of the aesthetic medicine; she had the opportunity torun the administrative and financial part of the same doctor in the office a year later. The constant search for challenges made her took the entrance exam for a law course in 2014.However, the busy schedule did not allow her to conciliate her studies and the work. The result: she took time out of the College with the promise to return soon. The connection with the carnival comes from the cradle. "My mother has always been involved with the carnival: she was eight years old and already attended the Vai -Vai samba school, she paradedand also sewed for some sections of the samba school - so, she was always there. I was in love with the school: we must attend the rehearsals every Sunday, "recalls Elisangela. Her premiere in the Samba Avenue took place in 1QQB. Interestingly, her parade was at another school- in Nene de Vila Matilde. In 2014, she repeated the parade. When she met Clarfcio Gongalves who was responsible at that time for the sections composition of the Vai-Vai carnival cars, she received an invitation to join him at the carnival block Fuzue (where Clarfcio was the president), and that has a vel}' important social role - to help needy children and belongs to institutions dedicated to a cause, as Tucca - Association for Children and Adolescents with Cancer (the acronym was originated by the phrase ..Brain Tumor in Children and Adolescents''). The carnival block makes many donations of food, clothing, toys and ... hugs...What is nothing for us is a fortune to them,.. says Elisangela, who was invited to be the Queen of the Fuzue Carnival block. There will be two touching nights : the histoty of the cool Vila Madalena; passing through the city of llhabela, an important cradle of the Brazilian coast and theme of Vila Maria; comes to the presentation of all faces of Holy Maty through the Aguia de Ouro. And it does not stop here - even on the first night we will see that the tattoo is not a fad: the art of engraving designs on the skin is vety old and it is part of diverse cultures and the Rosas de Ouro will show all this; theater is well represented by the 30 years of the actress and dancer Claudia Raia at Nene de Vila Matilde; the unexplainable, the fantastic and the imaginaty isexhibited by the Gavioes da Fief. Perola Negra samba theme is about the story of Vila Madalena. The carnival stylist Fabio Borges set the theme in a kind of magical realism. It means that the samba school has been part of an immense forest, wfth the sounds of the Atlantic Forest, where there are a variety of fauna and flora. In the early days, it was s a rural area, it was inhabit by Indians, blacks and settlers . Folklore will also be present as well the bohemian and student vocation of Vila Madalena.

Destine certo de quem gosta de ver belas paisagens, nadar, observar um por-do-sol bellssimo, enfim, pra quem sabe se divertir, llhabela cantada em verso e prosa na Passarela do Anhembi. 0 municipio trocou de nome varias vezes, desde que foi descoberta: virou, como por exemplo, llha de Sao Sebastiao, sendo consagrada a princesa filha de dona Carlota Joaquina e Dom Joao IX . Lugar visitado por muitos piratas e navegantes, foi primitivamente habitada por uma tribe Indios, que deu origem ao povo caigara.

"I want to be under your skin like a tattoo ... ". Chico Buarque's song might not be the inspiration of the carnival stylist Andre Cezari, but it is the reason for this 2016 Carnival. The tattoo will be in the Anhembi Sambadrome in charge of the Rosas de Ouro .. from the Stone Age, through Africa , keeping alive in different cultures, these days, the tattoo fascinates thousands of people. Located in northern Brazil, Para is a state that has natural resources such as its rivers, forests, art craft and legends. The X9 Paulistana bets on Paraenses bringing the beauty of the state and showing the fruit symbol of Para to the world, Ar;ai, among other peculiar legends and myths . The legend of the Ar;af iis the story of a mother who loses her child for problems with her father who was an Indian chief and after that she find a palm and gives it the name of Ar;ai, which means the daughter's name lar;a from back to front.

Misto de enfermeira e freira, Josephina Bakhita era filha de famnia abastada da tribo Daju em Cartum, capital do Sudao, foi sequestrada e obrigada a vagar pelo deserto, sendo vendida por negreiros arabes. Sofreu tortura psicol6gica e ffsica. Levada ltalia, onde fo i dada como presente a uma famfl ia , tornou-se livre. Foi reeducad a e batizada pelas freiras de um convento, viveu 45 anos no mesmo local. Nas duas guerras, cuidou de soldados feridos em combate. Ap6s sua morte, multid6es acompanharam seu enterro - seu tumulo se tornou Iugar de peregrina9ao. 0 corpo foi encontrado intacto ap6s mais de 50 anos, sendo sepultado na igreja das freiras o nde viveu. Foi canonizada em Roma, no ano 2000, pelo Papa Joao Paulo II.

The affectionate nickname of Bituca portrays the career of the simplicity of this artist b eloved and admired in Brazil and abroad.

Em seu sexto carnaval consecutive pela veterana escola verm elha e branca, o carnavalesco Oanilo Dantas desenvolveu, desta vez, o enredo "Transformando a qufmica da vida". A ideia mostrar que a qufmica, no sentido real e no figurado esta presente em todos os mementos da nossa vida.

Ao chegar na quadra dessa escola que ficava proximo a minha residencia, pedi para fazer o teste e recebi um nao do mest re de bateria, alegando que eu, por conta da cadeira de rodas, poderia fazer a escola perder ponte no quesito evolu9ao. Fiquei muito chateado, mas quando temos um sonho devemos segu ir em frente, entao procurei a X9 Paulistana e ped i para fazer o teste assim como qualquer ritmista, e eles me

SOCIAL INCLUSION AND ACCESSIBILITY The mobility of the disabled person has become increasingly important in our society. To ensure access for the physically disabled people to all existing products and seNices in the society is a constant concern, including the carnival. This care is increasing so that the disabled have access to the same services as other people, causing the city to have an expertise in this type of work. Tickets for the physically disabled people are available at Liga das Escolas de Samba de SP, with half price discount by a pre - registration, for their greater comfort . The transport is done by an accessible service by the City of Sao Paulo, with departures located at strategic points, defined by SPTurism tourism department.. Marcos Rossi is a samba musician , he is a father of two children and a law degree, he began his professional career in Accessibility Committee of the City of Sao Paulo, and he has been a percussionist in samba schools for about 16 years. He has a congenital condition called Hanhart syndrome, which damage the development of the arms and legs, Rossi goes beyond his limits. When something is difficulty for many people, it is a motivation for him, to go for new achievements. "The biggest difficulty to join the samba and the carnival worldis the prejudice. I started my journey in Sao Paulo samba playing in carnival groupsin my neighborhood, one day a friend told me to make a test for a Special Group samba school, and independent of my limitation, he said I had a good rhythm and I should participate. As soon as I arrived at the place, I asked to take the test and I got a negative answer from the drum master, he said that because of the wheelchair, the school could lose points in the competition .. I was vefY upset, but when we have a dream we must move on, so I went to X9 Paulistana and asked to take the test just like any other percussionist, and they accepted me.. This year will be my sixteenth carnival defending my school flag and now I am one of the cheerful components at the drum section! "He explains. The adapted van service are vel}l efficient, in his opinion, however, at the end of the parade the vehicles are not available in easily accessible places, due to the accumulation of revelers leaving .. hÂˇ"' ... "Regardless of the difficulties, I believe that the carnival is a great ally to our culture and social inclusion" in closing. He agrees with the samba composer Paul Fabiao, from Rosas de Ouro samba school. "All of us who love and live the carnival, we know that this party is not only a parade, I consider the parade is the icing on the cake. Carnival happens all year, in the samba schools, the samba theme election, runoffrehearsals etc., so accessibility has to be present everywhere. Always, "says Fabiao.
