WEEKLY BULLETIN Dear Parents and Carers, We have come to the end of a fantastic term, and we have really enjoyed this final week. It was brilliant on Monday to welcome over 20 Senior Citizens to our Christmas Tea Party! Owl Class did a super job of preparing the food for the event, and for serving food and drink throughout the afternoon. They also performed several Christmas carols to entertain out guests. Our visitors really enjoyed their afternoon and we were equally pleased to have them in school. On Monday evening, the festivities continued as we held our Christmas concert at Fauls church hall. All of the children sang beautifully, and the different age groups told two very different Christmas stories during each half of the performance. Well done to all who took part – it was a really enjoyable evening – and thanks to everyone who came along to watch. The hall was full! On Wednesday, we all sat together to enjoy our Christmas dinner, and then it was time for the nursery and reception children to shine, as we went along to church for our Nativity performance. Our youngest children did their teachers proud - they performed their roles perfectly! The rest of the school did a fantastic job of telling the story through their songs, and again, the event was very well attended by parents and the community. Today we have enjoyed our Elf Run and Christmas Jumper Day – two great opportunities to raise money for charity. Thank you to everyone who has supported these by making donations and/or taking part. We also enjoyed a visit from a very special guest this afternoon, who I am sure your children will tell you about this evening! After this busy end to the term, I am sure that pupils and parents alike are looking forward to a well-earned break over Christmas. From all of us here at Lower Heath, I would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. We look forward to welcoming the children back on January 6th, and holding our Launch Day on January 7th to introduce our new topics. With best wishes, Mrs Deborah Sadler - Headteacher
