Groundforce Day
We are fast approaching the end of the first half term and what a great half term it has been. A reminder that our Project Exhibition is on Tuesday 22nd October. Please encourage your child to add the finishing touches to their project over the weekend ready to hand in by the morning of the exhibition. Parents are invited to join us for the exhibition at 3.00pm to have a look at all the wonderful projects and celebrate the end of our topics with the children. Year 6 parents - we are fast approaching the application closing date for secondary transfer applications from midnight on the night of 31st October/1st November. Please ensure you have your application in on time. Finally, we break up on Thursday 24th October and return to school on Monday 4th November.

All pupils will be participating in Groundforce day for a planned section time on Monday 21st October. Please could all pupils bring their forest school clothes, wellies and waterproofs. If they have any trowels and gloves at home, please could they bring these in as well.
Forest School Update Rowan and Sapling classes will not be visiting the forest on Tuesday 22nd October as we will be taking part in the school Harvest Festival and Homework Exhibition. Our next visit to the forest will be Tuesday 5th November.

Fundraiser updates Film night organised by the school council was a great success! We raised £166.11. Well done school council and Mrs Hughes. On Thursday 10th October, the pupils raised £156.69 for Hello Yellow supporting mental health awareness.

School Photos A reminder that Academy Photography will be in on Tuesday 22nd October to take school photos. Please ensure pupils are smart and in full school uniform. Family photographs will be done between 8.30 – 9am for anyone wishing to bring older/younger siblings not at our school.

Halloween Disco and Pumpkin Competition The Halloween disco will be on Wednesday 23rd October.

During the school day, there will be a pumpkin competition. Pupils are invited to bring in their pumpkins, which have been carved at home, to be entered into the competition. There will be a spooky prize for each Key Stage (EYFS, KS1, Lower Key Stage 2 and Upper Key Stage 2) and pumpkins will be displayed at the disco. Please can parents provide flameless candles (with on/off switch) if children wish to enter. Real candles will not be permitted for health and safety reasons.
