Sue Smith

Sue Smith is one of the nation’s best loved professional female footballers, who has enjoyed over two decades on the pitch for England. An equally high profile pundit, Smith has reported on some of the most exciting matches in recent years, and remains at the forefront of the sports industry. Since her debut for the England national team in 1997, Smith has proven herself as a consistent and talented winger and forward From scoring a hat-trick in a 2001 match against Spain to being one of only seventeen players selected for a central contract, Smith’s career has been nothing short of remarkable. Throughout her twenty one years playing for England Smith made ninety three appearances and was awarded the International Player of the Year award in 1999 and 2001 for her impressive displays on the pitch.

Invested in the game since she was a teen, Smith’s earliest years were spent at Tranmere Rovers, beginning in 1994, for a period of eight years. After rising to prominence on the world stage, Smith was sought after by the country’s biggest clubs and chose to sign with Leeds United in 2002, a move that saw her win the FA Women’s Premier League Cup in the 2009-2010 season

Beth Tweddle MBE

Beth Tweddle is a British gymnastics legend. Since taking up the sport at the age of seven she has been one of the most decorated gymnasts in recent history, having won a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympic Games, three World Championships in 2006, 2009 and 2010 to go along with two bronze medals at the 2003 and 2005 World Championships, and six European Championship gold medals to go along with four silvers and a bronze She has also earned three gold medals and two bronze medals at the Summer Universiade, gold and silver medals at the World Cup final and a gold and two silvers at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. Due to her accomplishments in gymnastics she has become a hero in her home country of Great Britain and has become a sought after and respected brand ambassador for several successful worldwide companies. Outside the sports world she is a dedicated student, earning her degree in sports science and continuing her studies in Physiotherapy at the University of Liverpool in 2012.

Ryan Smith

Ryan's route into presenting has seen many guises. No stranger to performing in front of a crowd, he began entertaining when working within the hotel entertainment sector in 2011, across various Red Sea resorts in Egypt. Ryan qualified as a teacher in 2014 when he graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a 1st Class Honours degree in Primary Education, coming away with the award for Most Promising New Teacher. He returned year-on-year to Sheffield Hallam University to guest lecture trainee teachers and has successfully tutored 7 students into passing their final placements with flying colours; which earned him a nomination for their Inspirational Mentor Award in 2020.

Ryan is the Physical Education coordinator at his current school, and has seen the school achieve four Gold and two Platinum School Games Awards under his direction. These are only achieved by implementing a culture of physical activity and active learning across the whole school.

In November 2018, Ryan won a national BBC Education Teacher Talent Award resulting in him going on to write and star in his very own Super Movers Brain Booster Video. This national exposure then led to him being selected to appear in several other BBC Education programmes online.

More recently, Mr Smith, as he's most commonly known on TV, has presented and copresented alongside many established CBBC faces He has appeared in over 100 educational live and pre-recorded programmes for the CBBC channel, including Bitesize Daily, Live Lessons and the BBC Teach website online.
