Music – The Wider Curriculum

We recognise that it is important for Grangers to receive a varied and fresh musical diet to ensure exposure to all genres.

We are constantly seeking out opportunities to make links across the curriculum, expose children to new musical genres/instruments and engage children’s curiosity about music.

Some of the extra music provision at Grange has included

• Performances in assembly from a range of ensembles such as rock and pop and brass bands.

• Musical theatre performances.

• The opportunity to learn a musical instrument.

• Whole class musical instrument tuition in selected year groups.

• Working with local secondary schools to access specialist teachers.

Music – Celebrations

• Music plays a vital part in how we celebrate events throughout the school year.

• All children come to together to take part in concerts for a range of special events such as Christmas, Easter and Class assemblies.
