Grange Primary School - Music Overview

Music – The Wider Curriculum We recognise that it is important for Grangers to receive a varied and fresh musical diet to ensure exposure to all genres.

We are constantly seeking out opportunities to make links across the curriculum, expose children to new musical genres/instruments and engage children’s curiosity about music.

Some of the extra music provision at Grange has included • Performances in assembly from a range of ensembles such as rock and pop and brass bands.

• Musical theatre performances.

• The opportunity to learn a musical instrument.

• Whole class musical instrument tuition in selected year groups.

• Working with local secondary schools to access specialist teachers.

• Whole school singing and Pip's Songbirds - extra-curricular club
