PROFESSIONAL WORK
BOTANIKER (Housing Complex) Rosendal,Uppsala, Sweden June 2018 Genoa Property Group Axeloth Strombro Building Workshop Working group Daniel Fagerberg Marco Caminiti Gavin Sanotti
The Botaniker with his wood façade and large windows will be Uppsala’s first multi-family house with wooden frames. The houses of 1 - 4 rooms and kitchens, all with their own balcony or terrace, hold the highest class in design as well as function and the generous glass parties create light and space. On the large communal roof terrace, with spectacular views of the castle and the cathedral, there will be a huge outdoor kitchen and recessed large dining areas. By building the Botaniker in wood, we let the modern architecture meet one of the most genuine building tradition. Wood technology has been developed and refined in recent years. Today, the method is perhaps the best and most sustainable building method. The apartments harmonize the bright and Nordic color schemes in the wooden floors and niches with the light from the large windows, and the monochrome colors give a warm and direct home feeling.

NORBY (Private Villas) Uppsala, Sweden
June 2018 Propio Strombro Building Workshop Architects/Engineers: Daniel Fagerberg Marco Caminiti Le Song
Norby Villas are designed in beautiful woods and natural materials with soft round shapes that discreetly meet stylish straight lines. Every detail carries a secret. Everything does not have to be a function; it may suffice with a curiosity that creates curiosity. Where the elegance turns out depends on where you are.

Instead of designing the place where children study, the decision to create the environment allowing children to explore their own way to learn has been made. Some of us concentrated better in the loud crowdy area, some of us needs the isolation, some of us learn by physical movement and some of us through the discussion. The aspired to design various learning environments encouraging children to find their own way. To provide children easy access to exterior area, thus conducting to their physical development and to create healthy study environment are one of many challenges we are facing. By utilizing the multiple plot levels, two intertwining loops have been created between interior and exterior.

May 2018 - June 2018 qdp arkitekter Strombro Building Workshop CLT consultants: Daniel Fagerberg Marco Caminiti Le Song
After 15 years of research, Strombro has chosen to work exclusively with cross-laminated timber (CLT) as a construction technique along with rendered or panel-clad cellulose insulation. CLT are large elements of wood that are installed on site for a short period of time. Prefabrication and robot-controlled production not only minimizes construction time, but also minimizes errors in craft smanship. CLT can be described as a modern industrialized form of log house construction. Th e buildings become solid and quiet, while the natural raw material is completely free from toxins, formaldehydes and allergens found in all other building materials and structures. Th is ensures a healthy indoor climate free of toxins, free particles and swirling dust. Research and development has led to the use of natural resins as binders and fi re protection, which begins to challenge the old prejudices of fi re hazards, moisture problems in wooden buildings. A house built in CLT provides the best indoor climate for its users together with a positive impact on the environment.

Redevelopment of Piazza Fratelli Bandiera Verbania, Italy March 2015-April 2015 Moduloquattro associated architects 2M + A associated architects Working group Marco Caminiti Fabrizio Guglielmino Clarissa Carcione Fausto Calarco
The competition area refers to the general redevelopment of Piazza Fratelli Bandiera, an important transit crossroads of the Intra district. The entire area of the square is configured as a rectangular spatial enclosure regularly defined in its planimetric margins by an inhomogeneous curtain of buildings of various eras with variable height and discontinuous edges.
B
The public viable plan currently presents itself as an almost horizontal surface distinct from the transversal axis of Via Roma. The continuity of the distances defines the essential data for an adequate functioning of the contemporary public space that sees in the urban squares the sudden spatial explosions of the urban measure able to combine, in the public spaces of the hub, the normal needs of mobility and rest stop driveway. It follows that Piazza Fratelli Bandiera, with the construction in its basement of a parking lot for a total of 308 cars and, on the surface, a square distinguished in several functions, allows you to outline the construction of an important urban centrality, and strategic for all the capital of Verbania.

International Architectural Laboratory (Lid´A 10) Hotel “La Pineta“ in Chiaramonte Gulfi (RG) August 25th - September 07th 2014 Responsible Prof. Arch. Laura Thermes Tutors Prof.Arch. Antonello Russo Arch. Gaetano Scarcella Arch. Fabrizio Ciappina Working group Marco Caminiti Fabrizio Guglielmino Clarissa Carcione Fausto Calarco Chiara Pastorello Antonio Errigo Fausto Calvo Like all Italian cities, even Chiaramonte Gulfi, confronts some situations that contrast with its image. This is the case of La Pineta, which today presents itself as a sort of modern ruin that poses the question of its recovery The building dominates the valley landscape. It consists of three basement levels and three above ground. It is an elment clinging on, like a fortress or a medieval abbey. Rooted in the difficult morphology of the terrain, the building in fact, looks at the landscape from an angle that does not fully disclose it, the location perpendicular to the valley, on the side of a slope of the pine forest, highlights the short and closed side of the volume that characterizes the architectural typology emphasizing the verticality and the image of “tower”, visible, especially at certain times of the day. The recovery is meant to give a new look to the 5 stars resort, putting it back to work as it was use to when it was first built, tring to keep it as much as possible similar to the original shape whit a brand new facade design.

ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
Thesis: L’ Architettura della Città. Nuove visioni per Messina Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria December 14th 2017 Grade: 110/110 Supervisor Prof. Arch. Antonello Russo
The design of the southern area of the city is one of the main concern for the new urban planning, du tu the strategic position it is located. This thesis aim to create an entire new settlement in the city, starting from the very backbone of it, its infrastructure. To garant a fluent and easy way in and out, a ribbon has been created, crossing the all site plan, this main element either is a road sistem for veicles and pedestrian path, connecting the city center with its suburbs as well as the main buldings involved in the design Those two highrises rapresent two new central point of the city, hosting administration activity and headquarters of professional orders, thats the reason a direct and fast way of connection was needed, on the other hand they are fixed points holding the road sistem in a straight line, that turns in in different strings after them. In order to fit, as good as possible, the new settlement with the existing has been kept the design logic that characterize Messina, studing the previeus urban plans and relaborating the blocks system in “Macro Blocks”. This solution helped to obtain big courtyards that due of their scale turned in green parks and public spaces bonding the private with the social.

Located in the heart of Tanaf village, the building is both a religious architecture and a community property, designed to satisfied the community needs. It hosts two main areas as function of religious cult and an outside space in which there are wooden artistic installation inspired to the Baobab tree shape for the animism nature cult. Design main point is its social dimension obtained through versatility and sustainability, areas are linked through a system of mobile panels allows to have a free open space that can be used both for health emergency or special religious events or festivities and cultural aggregation initiatives. The social dimension is reflected in the way the building has been designed to fulfil an important economic and social aspect. The construction itself and the innovative take on vernacular architecture coupled with locally sourced materials, familiar to local craftsmanship, starting from the made of bricks till the production of wooden roof beams, will perform the task. Heating is also regulated by the presence of small open areas in the walls designed also to control sunlight input and create special lightening effects inside. The south elevation is bent at the top and oriented in an oblique position, leading to the main entrance, in an attempt to transform the village’s welcoming filings (known as TERANGA) in to a shape, forming an edge that cuts the finishing.

New Oldenburg Hafencity (Public spaces) Waterfront project March - June 2016
The design of a waterfront in Oldenburg is crucial if considered the relationship between every German city and theirs rivers. That’s the place of gathering, a place for breaks and meetings, during the nice weather, so it was important to allow the use of outdoor as well as indoor areas to keep it used no matter what the weather. The design consist in 3 big masses pointing south, shaped as scopes, with the clear intent of “scoping the old town exactly in front of them. Masses have been modelled so that looks like the volumes are emerging from the ground gradually carrying on their top some green areas, that were previously belonging to the flat ground. They are perfect places to host Auditoriums/Concerts Hall as well as Art galleries, while on the enter plan, flexible areas are designed for office and meeting Site Plan 1:3000 rooms or commercial activities.

Workshop New waterfront in Messina November 2013 Responsible International architectural institute Vico Morconte_Switzerland Working group Marco Caminiti Alessia Quattrone Gennaro Pileggi
Main topic of this workshop was to understand de current relation that link Messina with its shore. Despait the city sits in front of the sea it is kind of cut off from it and frome the all harbor area, enclosed in that strip of earth in the shape of a sickle. Not working just with the city dimension, we investigated even the possible connections with the infrastructural network that spreads into the inland. The results of those analisis lead us to the conclusion that it was possible to improuve the connections with the sea side with small aimed intervents that would have helped to have a better traffic situation or a easier acessibility to all areas to pedestrians. These ideas, in addition to a new design for urban furniture (bus strops, benches, fences ...) and a redevelopment of the “Fiera Campionaria area have developed a new face for the city center and of course a new way of leaving and move around the city.

“Marco have proved himself mature to the tasks in every way. In the beginning to handle 3D modelling, extending drawing skills and 3d printing capabilities. After getting in deeper in to various software, mainly Revit, Marco proved himself a useful resource at the office. In the End of his traineeship he took on advanced tasks (with glamour) to finish off complex working drawings of Project “Norby”, a medium scale housing project north of Stockholm. Any task Marco have been given have been met with great humour and he have excelled in any delivery. I am very grateful to had the opportunity to learn to know Marco and see him evolve in his knowledge, skills and in his contribution to the work of this office. It is also to be noted that Marco have had a great positive influence to the working environment and have contributed a great deal to the comradery of the staff.” Stockholm 26/06/2018
