Becoming magnifcent takes Resilience

The ISA Classic 65m motoryacht Resilience is an extraordinary creation completed at the Palumbo Superyachts shipyard in Ancona. Designed and conceived from the outset as a showcase of everything the Shipyard can do, the yacht embodies a skillful fusion of style, crafsmanship and refnement throughout all six decks of this 65m superyacht.

The superyacht was penned by Enrico Gobbi of Team for Design and features naval architecture by the Palumbo Superyachts team. Edmiston and RVB Marine supervised the project on behalf of the Owner and acted as Owner’s Representatives. Constructed in steel and aluminium, the yacht internal layout features six cabins with a seventh convertible, including a full-beam owner suite located on the forward main deck. Contemporary furniture with clean lines was purposely selected to integrate with the exterior and create a harmonious blend. Measuring over 1,400GT, Resilience has huge volumes and a clever design. Videoworks has created the most sophisticated technologies for home entertainment, audio/video, lighting and domotics on the new MY Resilience.

Walk-through

Starting from the lower deck, the 4x4m transom door aligns fush with the swimming platform when lowered, which combined with the two opened side doors, transforms the entire area into a beach club with an expanse of more than 180m2 . Versatility and lighting efects are the key elements of this portion of the lower deck, which consists of a lounge area, bar, showers, gym, sauna, massage room and a welcome area for boarding/disembarking guests from tenders. >> The materials used are evocative and ascribe a modern, refned and very luxurious feel.

The spiral staircase doubles as an art installation.

The beach club has three diferent accesses to the rest of the yacht: an external staircase from the af deck, an internal staircase to the right of the massage area, and a scenic corridor running through a transparent glass enclosure which, crossing the engine room, directly connects the beach club with the lower deck lobby and the guest cabins. This is a unique feature which as well as being very convenient, gives guests a fascinating view into the beating heart of the yacht that they rarely get to see. The colour palette of the beach club is based on diferent shades of cobalt blue applied to metallic and lacquered surfaces, combined with natural materials like teak.

A magical atmosphere

The lighting scheme in the yacht was studied in great detail, and in this area it includes a lane of ceiling LED lights running symmetrically with respect to the central door, accompanying the view up to the back wall. The latter is formed by sinuous waves of teak and LEDs refected onto the two stainless steel and glass plates of the ceiling, which is actually the foor of the main deck swimming pool. This solution allows light to flter through the water, creating beautiful patterns and a magical atmosphere, especially at night. The lower deck features four large guest cabins connected to the main deck by a circular staircase. This staircase runs between all decks and features a stunning glass jellyfsh installation of various colours (designed by Arch. Gobbi and made by Preciosa) that accompanies the view to the sky. A tribute to the sea, this piece of art symbolises the vastness of the ocean and the harmony of shapes and movement and looks stunning when lit at night time.

Modern, refned, luxurious

The 12m wide full-beam owner’s cabin on the main deck includes two private foldable terraces on both sides. The central bed here is crowned by a custom-made chandelier, also made by Preciosa in crystal and polished chromed steel to a design by Enrico Gobbi. The materials used are evocative, like the brown Palissandro veneered furniture and the onyx tops that ascribe a modern, refned and very luxurious feel. Moving towards the stern, there is a seventh convertible staf cabin. The professional stainless-steel galley is located on the port side. Passing the lobby heading af, it has a large main salon and dining room, with sizeable sofas and a 12-seater dining table. This area was designed with opening doors on all sides, so that when they are all open it can also form a contiguous part of the af swimming pool area. The spectacular 6m long swimming pool located on the stern and equipped for counter-current swimming is certainly a scenographic element. The cockpit is completed by a large C-shaped sofa with cofee table and front sofa. The bridge deck forward hosts the

integrated bridge with separate radio room, the Captain’s cabin, and the sixth VIP cabin with private terrace. Continuing towards the stern there is a comfortable and very private Owner’s ofce, also provided with terrace and bathroom The external cockpit on the bridge deck is completed by large sunbeds and sofas, and also ftted for an incredible outdoor cinema, with a very wide fat screen hidden in the stern hardtop. The sundeck is certainly one of the most versatile areas on board Resilience, thanks to the articulated system of pocketing door openings that can either make this deck completely open, or close and air-conditioned in the mid-section for use in inclement or very hot weather. Above the main sundeck, Resilience has one further deck: the observatory deck. And last but not least, M/Y Resilience is available for charter through Edmiston.
