something about me I was born in Bolzano, a city on the border between Austria and Italy. For this reason I have always lived in a mixture halfway between the two very different cultures. This fact has characterized unequivocally my character: I’m always ready to seek confrontation with other cultures in order to draw the best experience as possible. I was employed in an engineering office, and in my free time I also started working as a draftsman in my father’s architectural office. This experience made me extremely motivated in the choice of my academic journey. I’ve studied architecture at the University of Ferrara, well known for being the best one of Italy, for four years, then i moved to the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts, thanks to the Erasmus Exchange Program to write my Master Graduation Thesis. This particular situation gives me freedom to move or to stay wherever i find a place which I think it might be good for my study and personal research. Recently I’ve founded MiKo, an Architecture and Design Ideas Laboratory. My biggest dream and aspiration is to travel and discover the atmosphere of the most diverse environments. Experience firsthand sensations of open and closed spaces. Materially understand the close relationships between what has been built and the pristine environment. In the particular region where I was born there is a very close relationship between man and nature. This led me during my architectural study to investigate the right combination of what’s built and the natural spaces. The thing that has always surprised me in architecture is the fact that the architect designs the full volumes, while the user lives in the blanks. You should always work in a sort of continuous negative image of the reality you want to create. For this reason architecture for me is the right mixture between the culture of the past and a deep look into our future. In my future I’m planning to finish my studies and find a nice work in an office with a great experience, who can help me to form my broadly on contemporary style and that gives me the opportunity to get in touch directly with the practice, because nothing more than reality teaches you what it means to talk about architecture.
languages, technical skills and passions: Languages: Italian, English and German Technical Skills: MSOffice, Autocad 2014, Archicad, Revit, 3dS Max, Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, Allplan, Cinema 4d, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro and really good and fast in learning any other kind of program. Personal Skills: Working closely with my colleagues since the first year of university gave me a strong sense of team work, and helped me to develop both a sense of organization and planning of the work, both to experience in every project new technologies and new architectural styles, as well as new methods of representation. This has opened my mind to be ready to adapt to the most diverse situ ations.

To highlight the entire project and make it visible from the park and the bike path, it was decided to reuse the soil extracted for the construction of the square as a filling material for the rise in the surrounding top soil. In this way it has been created less material to dispose and attenuates both the working times that the traffic of vehicles for transport. Population
Nørrebro is inhabited by people from all parts of the world. The largest minority groups of people living in Nørrebro are Arabs, Turks, Pakistanis, Bosnians, Somalians and Albanians.
Densification
To cope with a sure increase in population in the district, it will be necessary to ensure completion of appropriate support structures, both in terms of housing and spaces of aggregation.
Plans:
In the underground plan it’s possible to highlight the relationship between the new public space and the surrounding buildings, as well as a possible rol e of new polarity triggered by the enclosed nature of the place. All underground spaces are overlooking the square, in order to ensure an adequate supply of sunlight. Where this principle is not possible to be apllied, openings on the ceiling are provided. Tthe square doesn’t interfere directly with the surrounding buildings, granting the possibility to be managed with more freedom of time and without disrupting the local residents.

STRATEGY:
Developing an area of mitigation between the city and the park, which is suitable to accommodate the features needed and which is conducive to creativity and cohesion.
Using a square planned out of the common rules, designed at the intersection of a passing motion, which functions as a magnet for the entire new district, with shapes that connect the built system with the natural environment.
1. This building is the closest to the natural green belt, therefore it has been designed with the most irregular shapes. It has been selected to embody all the public functions which might need the sunlight such as a bar and a canteen. 2. This building incorporates the fundamental principles used as base for the development of the project. Starting from rigid lines when closed to the road, we arrive at the opposite side to the mitigation with nature through broken forms and lines. 3. This building has been designed to give opportunities to the creation of “sharing spaces”.

The concept for the shape of the building comes from the study of the sunlight. Due to the particular microclimate, we have to defend the windows from the cold winters wind coming from the east, and open as much as possible the walls on the west side, for emphasize the view to the beautiful panorama and to gather the most sunlight as possible. t

The study of the sunlight was instrumental in the realization of the project of all outside partitions. Only in that way we could analyze the real needs of the dwelling, as regards both the outer walls and its openings, both for the coating in shading devices of the main facade facing the southern direction. The size of the overhang is correctly measured based on the position of the sun in the summer and in the winter.

Concept The area of intervention is right over the old path of the Berlin Wall. We wanted to give at the same time a look into the past made of memories and a modern building. For this reason a wound on the main facade gives the impression of the cut given to the city by the existence of the historic Berlin Wall but at the same time represent a connection between past and future. The building is organized around a central gallery and an inner courtyard, which are suitable venues for events and exhibitions. On the different floors of the building can be carried out many activities, from shopping to work in offices, up to the residences that overlook the famous Friedrichstrasse and the Check Point Charlie. It has been very important the study of sunlight , because the idea was to try to illuminate all the indoor environments, even if we are in a very compact district.

We used software such as Ecotech to achieve the most realistic results possible. We then demonstrated compliance with legislation of Berlin for lighting interior rooms and we calculated the calorific value generated by the sun on the windows of our building to promote energy intake during the coldest months of the year. The special stone shading panels designed by us offers wide versatility, leaving freedom to the individual office owner to manage lighting with natural light. Where it was not possible to illuminate in a direct manner, mirrors have been positioned (see for example the inner court) to reflect the light and give rise to a general indirect lighting. LINEAR COMPOSITION The municipality of Monzuno, in the province of Bologna, decided to collaborate with the University of Ferrara in the late January, 2013 to the realization of participatory projects to bring new ideas that can help the small town of the Emilian Apennine in finding a new local importance. One of these projects is to build up to a detailed scale of 1:5 a sports center with two multi-purpose courts (of which one outdoor and one indoor) and a small bar, with a large park where it might be possible to have special country fair and cultural appointments. We tried to give the municipalities an efficient and modern building, with the latest technology and keeping costs under control, knowing that financial resources in a context so small are never readily available. We also sought contacts with local businesses to save on labor and transport costs, trying to create a building capable of doing a driving force for the local economy.

rimesse district urban rdv. The site of the project was located just outside the city centre of Bologna, Italy. The goal was the realisation of a new neighbourhood that could attract people as a place of exchange, both physical and cultural. It was decided to develop the project around the concept of courtyard building, typical of the Italian architectural typology. The connections with the environment have led to the development of an open public space. We tried to work on diferent levels of social life, so as to maintain the active area day and night, as well as the inclusion of a strong functional mixitĂŠ. The project was supported by a very famous shopping mall company, which helped us in finding a new way of seeing the spaces for the commerce, to study the psycological aspect of architecture.

The development of the project took place after a careful analysis of the site and its surroundings. We wanted to create a catalyst element working on the connection between the functions and the time of their use, in order to reach a live mixitĂŠ that made the public space full of life both day and night, making it a new attraction for this portion of the city. 50

Partnership with a real company: Despar Thanks to the close relationship we have had with the Despar company, we were able to designin a defined manner all the space necessary for the proper functioning of a supermarket. However, we have introduced some new fundamental features. A difference in height between the road outside and the floor of the supermarket allows passers-by to admire the benches of fresh goods on the perimeter, thus encouraging them to enter. While placing windows on each side, we avoid the perceived sense of closure in department stores, making the shopping experience more pleasant. The connections between car, bicycle and the entrance have been reduced as minimum as possible, and we have also eliminated all architectural barriers.

The final target of this laboratory was to make us able to realize the entire structural system of the building. We studied all the pillars, beams and foundations, a retaining wall for the basement and the stairwell. We made static patterns, thus determining the correct amount of required reinforcement to the concrete to resist various efforts. All calculations were done by hand with mathematical procedures without the use of any engineering software.

Passions: The work combined with all the passions that I have always followed, such as the role of the federal judge in Italian national volleyball championships, led me to find a great confidence in myself, determination in the choices to be made and a great reactivity. Having then played in several bands as lead guitarist, have been for three years representative institution in high school and captain of a volleyball team in the Third Division, they helped me find the leadership traits needed in group work that I carried out at the university. Music has always been a constant presence in my life: I can play a lot of instruments and I usually work during parties as a Dj. When I find some free time, I usually learn Photography and Hand-drawing. Driving License: A1, B
