I am 25 years old and I am ver y passionate in what I do and I have a poetic approach to the subject of architecture. I am open minded and eager to learn anything new. I am a hard and determined worker, disposed to work long hours, if necessar y to meet deadlines in time. If you decide to hire me I can guarantee you a devoted and highly motivated individual who can work independently as well as in group. I am always minded to succeed and complete the tasks requested in ever y detail, with my own approach, conveyed by referrings and ideals. I take responsibility seriously but do know how to enjoy life as well. I hope this little selection of my personal works will give you an idea of who I am as an aspiring architect and hopefully you will find me as a suitable candidate for your architectural profile.

Yours sincerely, Marco Morra

The objective in this preliminar phase was to study the natural ecological materials and the traditional construction technics, used both in the site and by the Tibetan Dzogchen Community for other similar buildings. The main intention was to develop ideas and proposals for the new Tibetan Medical Centre, referring at the themes of light and lightness and focusing over the personal way of working of Enric Miralles. Ruins and Nature, Restoration of the Cantagallo Castle Bologna, Italy Master Thesis Sept. 2015 - October 2016

The Cantagallo Castle nowadays is a ruin from the 12th centur y on which nobody, before us, has made anything about it: there wasn’t neither a historic reconstruction nor a sur vey. The master thesis project in restoration has been developed in three phases. The first phase was to collect as many historical informations as possibile from local historical archives and libraries, in order to obtain a precise chronology of the events in which the building was involved. The second phase was to measure and draw the castle for the first time in its histor y, to document the artifact and its conser vation state. In closing, the third phase was to elaborate a coherent enhancement project to preser ve the artifact and to make it visitable in the easiest way. The work lasted a whole year due to the complexity of the site and the artifact. Made in collaboration with Simone Ferraioli Relator: prof. Arch. Andrea Ugolini

EXPO dopo EXPO Milan, Italy Workshop Januar y 2016 - Februar y 2016

The ex-EXPO area in Milan has become an isolated island after the big event of 2015. The Municipality of the city has proposed to the architecture schools of Italy to design a masterplan for a new “science city, which could become an international technological hub. The main themes chosen for the project is the inhabited bridge and the central courtyard, seen both as spaces in which there could be as many functions as needed. Also, the isolated island can be connected with the main circulation systems already on the territor y, built for the EXPO 2015. The proposed masterplan takes reference from the old cardo/ decumano grid, designed by Stefano Boeri, Jacques Herzog, Richard Burdett and William McDonough. Made in collaboration with Giada Baratti, Valentina Bartoloni, Matteo Cerlesi, Simone Ferraioli, Silvia Forlai, Giacomo Macrelli, Marta Medici, Massimiliano Sansavini, Arianna Talevi

Figures and Nature, setting of the Pino Castagna’s sculptures in the Rocca Malatestiana courtyard Cesena, Italy Academic work September 2015 - December 2015

The task was to design a setting of a selected number of sculptures of Pino Castagna, united by a chosen theme. The design approach was about the realisation of a structured path inside the Rocca Malatestiana courtyard, which could allow a complete and easy fruition of the setting to ever yone ,without diminishing the possibility of an alternative free way. The path geometr y has been thought to be in function of the setting and totally detached from the original geometr y of the castle.

MAMRI, Museum of arts and crafts of Rimini Academic work September 2014 - June 2015

In the city of Rimini there is a huge park called Marecchia park, in which years ago used to flow the omonimous river. Nowadays is a big open space with almost nothing in needing of a masterplan, which can finally enhance the park. The task of the course was to design a public building in the park, which would work as a new multimedia core, attracting students, tourists and citizens. The building has been thought to host a media librar y, a museum of arts and crafts of Rimini and a big auditorium.

Salsedine, Photographic Project with the group Adriatic Coast to Coast Academic work March 2016 - June 2016

During the academic course of Histor y and Technique of Photography, prof. Massimo Sordi proposed to participate in the “Adriatic Project (https://adriaticproject.net/). It is a collection of works made of thematic projects on the omonimous italian coast. In my case i chose to investigate the theme of the ever yday sea life by focusing on the fishermen in Cesenatico, small port city. I followed for almost three months their typical work schedule, tr ying to figure out a stor y of a day in fifteen photographs. Here there is a small selection of photographs from the work i made.

Recommendation letter from the internship at Fundaciò Miralles, Miralles Tagliabue-EMBT Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona, 29 September 2015 To Whom It May Concern, It is a pleasure to be writing this recommendation of Marco Morra who has worked for the Enric Miralles Foundation (Fundació Enric Miralles) from 29 June 2015 to 29 September 2015. During Marco’s time working at our firm he has continually shown great skill in his ability to direct many different types of projects. He is an excellent worker and has shown outstanding responsibility in all areas of his work. Marco adapted quickly, was able to work on a team as well as on his own in all areas of work. His personality and the focus he brought to each task were always positive. Marco has participated at the workshop “Project Adeje” under the direction of Salvador Gilabert Sanz, project manager in EMBT firm. The workshop has been focused over the personal way of working of Enric Miralles, with the intention of developing ideas and proposals for a Tibetan Medical Centre referring at the main themes of light and lightness, starting by the studies of natural and ecological materials and traditional construction technics used in the site and by the Tibetan Dzogchen Community. The project promoted by the Dzogchen Community and situated on the isle of Tenerife, in Adeje, España, consists in a rehabilitation of an old complex of residencial houses, designing a new main building for the activities of the Dzogchen Community and thirteen guest houses. I strongly recommend Marco and I am confident in his ability to continually outperform himself. I have no doubts that he is capable of meeting your expectations. Best Regards,

Benedetta Tagliabue Director of Enric Miralles Foundation
