MARCO NEGRIN architect CV | 2021

+39 3355789517 marco.negrin@gmail.com

I was born in a small town of Northern Italy, and as a kid I discovered I could ‘have’ whatever I wanted, I just had to draw it. When I wasn’t drawing, I was observing my father working with glass in the family laboratory, making my first direct contact with materials and tools. Pencils and craftsmanship moved me to attend the faculty of architecture; I quickly understood that what I was learning was great but not sufficient to satisfy my broader interests, so I started to explore them through people, music, fashion, design and art. I’m curious by nature, so in 2019 I moved abroad to follow my urge to see our profession from a different angle, trying to absorb a different sensibility, approach, mindset and culture while working for two years between Beijing and Berlin. In 2021 I decided to come back to live and work in Italy.

ZHAO DAI 2019 Beijing (China) | completed developed with studio O

We’ve been asked to tranform a storge basement in a club; when choosing the materials

we focused on materiality and texture instead of thinking about color, given the already dark and moody nature of the space.

RESIDENTIAL INTERVENTION IN TUSCANY 2020 Poggibonsi (Italy) | design proposal developed with studio O

The layout gains quality through repetition of the elements with few variations. We created introspective single housing units, granting the maximum privacy as well as a

private open garden. Durable materials follow the earthy hues of the local stones.

SPAZIO LANGOSCO 2017 | 2018 Casale Monferrato (Italy) | design proposal personal project

A subtle intervention in a former library. Light fixtures are used in every space as a

distribution element, highlighting either the centrality or the linearity of the spaces. Clay-based plaster and cherry wood are used to set the comforting mood of the space.

CRATER 2018 Milan (Italy) | design contest Personal project

The idea started to take shape from the image of two hands in the gesture of drinking; the gap between the hands became the striking element of the basin. The basin, just like the gesture is clean and immediate.

JUVENTUS JERSEY PROPOSAL 2020 Berlin (Germany) | concept design personal project

The graphical and branding elements that surround football have always been fascinating to me, because they share a lot of elements with architeture: history, tradition, fashion and performance. Here’s my latest concept.

20

juventus home jersey white / core black / grey six The home jersey is classy, but in the detail reveals is contemporary inspiration. The black stripes, superimposed over the white base, show traces of grey shadow, highlighting the tridimensionality of the kit, while using the same grey colors to trace the 3 tripes. A bold bright pink adidas logo along with the golden stars give a pop of color to the jersey.

21

22

juventus away jersey royal blue / active gold / legend ink The away kit follows the tradition of the blue and yellow that Juventus often used in its history. The addition of navy trims for the cuffs and stripes results in a more aggressive take over the plain royal blue color. The star-graphic on the front and back of the jersey is sublte and acts almost like an unconventional sash, including the right sleeve.

23

24

juventus euro jersey raw white / core black / solar orange The european home kit breaks the tradition with a new interpretation of the canonical striped kit. The same graphic used for the third kit becomes here the central element, as bold as the orange detailing that provides contrast and balance to the overall scheme. The warmth of raw white instead of the standard white further differentiate this from the home jersey while adding a vintage vibe.
