AT Gadgarra Murray Grey Stud we have been breeding quality purebred Murray Grey Cattle for more than twenty-four years.

We choose Murray Grey cattle because of their temperament, ease of calving, strong maternal traits, fertility, carcass quality and (because) they are naturally polled.

Over the years elite genetics have been carefully selected and sourced from Murray Grey Studs from all over Australia from as far away as Western and South Australia, NSW and Tasmania.

Our strong focus on temperament, structure, feet, strength in topline, udder attachment, tidy sheath, high milk figures, low birth weights as well as true to type of the breed while maintaining carcass traits that have industry relevance has never wavered. Local cattle breeders have been extremely happy with the hybrid vigour our bulls have put into their calves from breeds such as Droughtmasters, Brahman, Angus, British Whites, Composite and Dairy cows. Almost all of them have become return buyers.

It is our belief at Gadgarra Murray Grey Stud that strong cow families are the foundation to breeding quality bulls and females.

Our recent purchase of two outstanding bulls, Onward Rawhide in late 2022 from Onward Murray Grey Stud NSW and top price Murray Grey bull, Snowstorm at the prestigious Monterey Sale WA in March this year, will complement our battery of matrons perfectly.
