Marena Yaacoub 2019
About Me Hello, My name is Marena Yaacoub, I'm a student in the Graphic Design Program at PSU. I am passionate about creating and connecting with others. Growing up in Egypt, I was surrounded by all types of beautiful art in different forms. Ever since then art has always been a constant thing in my life. Art is very important to me because I believe every form of art is meant to influence emotion. I express myself through my art by putting a little bit of me in everything I create. In the work I create I strive to share my experiences and love for art with others, which motivates me to become a better designer. Art is a universal language, we connect with artists through what we feel from experiencing their art. I hope we can connect through my art. This portfolio showcases seven selected projects that I have done throughout my journey in the Graphic Design Program at PSU. My portfolio includes projects ranging from branding, packaging design, booklets and more. Enjoy!

"Pioneering the Square" Publication Book ART200
Project Brief Produce and design the publication book for “Pioneering the Square“
Target Audience This publication is for people who are interested in the architectural and historical significance of Pioneer Square. Present day Pioneer Square is Portland’s most visited city park. Experience the aged culture of Pioneer Square by learning about its history.
Concepts and Solutions When constructing this publication, I wanted the information to be readable yet fun. I added colors that I felt complimented the images to bring life to the pages.
