INTEGRATED TRANSIT HUB

ABSTRACT Tambun Selatan is one of two sub-districts that is potential as the central node in transit-oriented development (TOD) in the Bekasi Regency. The main point in the spotlight as the node is the Tambun Train Station. This shape gives hope for a common problem in Bekasi Regency, namely congestion. The mix of the potential and tribulations of this area could be developed in the form of designing an integrated transit hub project that connects various nodes around the area. This integrated transit hub project is a mixed-use building that accommodates transit, commercial, and residential functions. With the main concept of 'connectivity,' this project integrates three central nodes of the area, namely Tambun Railway Station, Jalan Sultan Hassanudin (primary arterial road), and Gedung Juang '45 Tambun with a bridge design. The location carried in this project is an empty land area of ±2.5 Ha, which is located on the west side of the Juang '45 Tambun Building or currently known as the Bekasi Museum. This project aims to support or trigger the realization of the analysis of the potential of the Tambun Train Station area for the development of transit-oriented development (TOD)-a based area as a proposed solution to urban problems with the realm of design. The final result of this design is in the form of a mixed-function building with connectivity solutions, namely the requirement of public facilities, bridges, which connect the area internally and externally. There is also formed an integrated public park on the rooftop area, which can also be accessed from the bridge. This design is expected to support and/or trigger movements that support activities in the transit radius.

The main concept is carried from the main problem, namely connectivity. The scope of connectivity in this project are: EXTERNAL: connect various modes of regional transportation (transit hub intermodal), especially Tambun Train Station with Primary Arterial Road, Sultan Hassanudin street INTERNAL: apply the concept of high permeability from all sides of the site (north, east, west, south)

Integrated connectivity is implemented to increase the quantity and quality of activities, especially those that support transit activities.

3. Sky-lobby concept rooftop (externally and internally) This concept is inspired by the precedent of Namba Park (Architect: Jerde). The sky-lobby applied to this design is integrated externally and internally. Internally, we could access it inside the building by using stairs and lifts. While externally, it could accessible starting from the bridge, which is integrated directly into the sky-lobby floor 2 (rooftop floor 1). Access to the sky-lobby on the rooftop of this commercial area is integrated with the addition of stairs. The facilities provided are also intended for the public, such as a jogging area, amphitheater, and park.

The issue raised by this lifestyle center project is placemaking or "creating a place". A place is created from the composition of a space, user activities, and the image of the use of space. (Montgomery, 1998:98). The main objective of this project is to make architecture not just a 'mall' but a place that has meaning for its users, which in turn is expected to become a place for self-actualization of the surrounding community. This lifestyle center focuses on the third space on 2 vertical points, namely the ground floor and the rooftop. This third space can certainly attract visitors for commercial activities, as a temporary commercial space, and hopefully can become a social space. The mass of the building is designed with a fluid concept representing activities that are expected to be more fluid on the site, especially in the outdoor third space of the ground floor. D E S I G N P L A C E M A K I N G This issue is answered primarily by providing public facilities of the east site. This issue is supported by the optimism about revitalization of the Cikapundung river in the future. With the river, this area is expected to become a semi-resort area, where visitors can relax comfortably and enjoy a place around.

This apartment is an infill site project from the existing lifestyle center located in the west of the apartment site. The primary purpose of constructing this apartment is to respond to the residential needs of the people of Bandung today, especially vertical housing, with an integrated building system. This building is designed with a focus on building system efficiency, mainly the functionally, with a dynamic adaptive concept, represented by an organic building mass and an active building envelope and still follows the datum of the lifestyle center envelope on the west side.

MIXED-USE BUILDING

A B O U T

P R O J E C T

The rise of global structural changes in various fields has harmed the cities, especially urban decay or a decrease in environmental quality. As an architect, this leads to a design solution in the form of revitalizing the area in designing a building. The solution offered is a mixed-function building in the historic infill area, Cibadak Street. With the construction of this project, it is hoped that it can improve the quality of life of the surrounding community through a more efficient lifestyle which will then affect the revival of the region's face.

GAUNG BANDUNG 2020

Collaboration Event | Contribute as a Head of Materials and Method (Concept and Organization of Events)

Gaung Bandung is an annual activity held by the Gunadharma Architecture Student Association (IMA-G) ITB since 2011. Departing from concerns regarding the concept of a Livable City in Bandung, Gaung Bandung started a movement in the community realm with the theme Placemaking.

Against the background of the digital era and adaptation to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Gaung Bandung 2020 team tried to redefine the identity of Gaung Bandung. The primary strategy implemented is to maximize the potential for city development and minimize obstacles from the analysis of existing data, especially regarding the status of Bandung as a livable city. Discussions about the implementation of Bandung as a livable city can never be separated from Bandung as a creative city. So, our focus is on one element of the livable-friendly city, namely the development of Bandung as a creative city.

Seeing Bandung as a creative city, our main topic consists of 3 elements: people, place, and ideas. We interact with the people of Bandung by spreading discussions around and using the placemaking method. These activities are: Webinar Series Competition (architecture and photography) Online exhibition Augmented Reality Launch

Around 300-400 participants attended each webinar and 117 participants attended the competition. www.gaungbandung.com

COLORED GLASS 2021

Collaboration Event | Contribution: Head of Events (Research, Organization, and Technical of Events)

Colored Glass 2021 is a series of Artepolis activities carried out as part of the AR4057 elective course, with the Special Topic: People, Environment, and Placemaking.

Activities are held on a hybrid way (offline & online). In an offline way, this activity is carried out in Cihapit with the number of participants and committee in groups of no more than ten people and, of course, according to health protocols for COVID-19.

This activity directly applies theories related to this particular topic, especially placemaking. The application of placemaking itself is supported by scientific theories related to placemaking, especially The Power of 10 theory (placemaking.chicago) and 4 Placemaking Parameters (pps.org). These theories are applied with exploring the activity in the Cihapit area with curated spots and methods that might increase the intensity of the user's placemaking. These methods include: - QR Code (contains trivia of each place/spot) - Placemaking Booth (to rate a place/spot) - Workbook, with contents as shown below.

WORKBOOK Colored Glass contains questions related to placemaking in Cihapit and its surroundings. Dokumentasi Kegiatan Luring Colored Glass

The activity is also conducted with an online tour using the Google Earth platform that the committee has prepared. The points that become online tour spots are the same as offline tours. The feedback obtained from this activity was very good; that is, almost all participants felt happy because it was like finding a 'hidden gem' in the bustle of the city of Bandung. However, the participants were unfortunate because the activities took place very quickly due to time constraints. It is a win-win solution related to the implementation of placemaking. These places give special meaning to the participants so that they want to come back and feel the atmosphere of the places in Cihapit. More about activities: instagram.com/coloredglass.aritb
