DEVIL MAY CARE An Examination of Modern Witchcraft

She loves me all that she can, And her ways to my ways resign; But she was not made for any man, And she never will be all mine. – Edna St. Vincent Millay

RAISE HELL. This is not a book of spells. This is not a book of ancient charms, hexes, curses, or blessings. This is a discussion of EMPOWERMENT: what I consider to be modern witchcraft.

You are a witch if you: Desire power.  Desire strength.  Desire pride. 

Witchcraft does not require physical materials, nor does it require intelligence, beauty, womanhood, or arcane talent. A contract with the devil is not mandatory, but is possible for those who are interested.

There is no black or white witchcraft. Witchcraft is not good or bad. It has only the potential for both.

There are countless resources on forms of witchcraft, such as divination, divine worship, astral travel, and glamour work. At times, you may feel the desire to dance naked in the woods with a coven of others.

At other times, you may feel the desire to stay in and light a candle instead. Neither is the wrong kind of witchcraft.

The only thing that your witchcraft requires is you, your will, and the acknowledgement that you are not made for anyone else. You are the owner of your body, your soul, and your self.
