FLOATING ATHLETIC VILLAGE In the context of the 2022 FINA World Championships in Budapest, this project is designed to come to the needs of the hungarian national female running team. Modular housing and sport facilities are the main aspect of this project. Situated in the Danube river in the Duna part, these floating modules become a new village on the water, surrounded by an olympic running track, creating an indepent cohabiting and training world.

ILOTING COMMUNITIES Shared spaces, public spaces, open gardens, different communities... The concept of this urban project, is to create a new way to live, to move. In an abandoned area of the city of Lille, Bois Blancs needs to be reconnected and emphasized with new programs ; living space, activities and refurbished landscapes, this small island finds a new purpose.

SUBSISTENCE WORK Within the framework of the redynamisation of the Epeule district in Roubaix, in the north of France, this project is the result of several studies carried out on site as well as a collaboration with students of Political Sciences. The issue of subsistence work in Roubaix is important. We have projected this problem into the wasteland sites to be rehabilitated in the Epeule district. These sites are part of private spaces and make it possible to accommodate subsistence workers in exchange for their renovation. The aim is to create a new city-wide policy for the renovation of private places by 2050. This system is part of a circular economy; subsistence workers take over these vacant sites and offer the owner this new program, which consists of exchanging the renovation services of the site for the exemption of the rent. The owner thus benefits from a lower-cost renovation and a transitional occupation that avoids the degradation of the buildings.

SCULPTURAL EXPANSION What is it like conceiving in small spaces? What do we take into account when building in multiple layers? Modularity, spatial adaptability and smart furnishing are important aspects about this “sculpted cortene tower”. Cohabiting is today one of the best answers to the futur of living in dense cities.

UNDER THE CANOPY Most of hungarian buildings have inner patios that enable inhabitants to have an exterior space. Unfortunately, most of them are in a bad state or don’t provide a good atmosphere. The obectif of this project was to think of a way to incorporate walkways so that people with reduced mobility on this NGO residence for the elderly, can be in a more peaceful and pleasant place. The organic shapes of the walkways and the canopy, create a completely new and contemporary atmosphere.

URBAN MONASTERY The Budaszentlorinc ruins, situated on the outskirts of Budapest, are part of the history of Hungary. Preservation is not the only important aspect of this project; valorize this historic site and emphisize where the antique pauliner monastery used to stand, was also the main focus point. This project, which takes into account the necessities of the area, hosts different programs in connection with the history of the place such as a museum, pottery and manuscript lessons, meditation and spiritual areas, a cafeteria, an enclosed garden and greenhouse as well as temporary activities that revisit the ancient times of the monks.

COWORKING HUB The “Cheese House”, located in Budapest was a famous resort in the 1930’s. Today, what used to be a modern building, is just and abandoned reinforced concrete skeleton. The objective of this project was to dynimise the area as well as reuse the building for new offices. The main focus was creating shared spaces with different atmospheres for coworking also open to the public. The building is linked to the city center thanks to new transport lines as well as these new programs. The installation of small cabins in the area helps connecting the area to the main Cheese House as well as with the expansion of these programs around the Danube.

MODELING

REALISATIONS

REHABILITATION 1.0 This project, in collaboration with artisan students, was a participative initiave carried in the convent of the city of Roubaix. The aim of Zerm, the architecture association based in this convent, is to keep this building and experiment new ways of rehabilitation and recycling, in a climatic context. The objectif was to create enclosed beds to install them in the uninsulated rooms of the convent to reduce the cost of the work as well as to create elements that can keep the heat and avoid heat loss. The project was made from the conception, to de realisation of these beds.

Conception model

Final result; the bed recieved the “design bed” prize thanks to the elegant hand-made elements such as the metallic connectors as well as the wooden curtain with light transparency.

MODULAR WALL The creation of modular and customizable bricks thanks to an algorithm that works from a defined wall shape and size, this project aims to create modular walls that adapt to the program, function and space. These bricks are printed one by one following the model and then assembled thanks to a metal rod inserted on the joint orifice.

THE LIGHT FALL This pavillion, built in the Architecture University of Lille is now an important piece of the school’s entry and main area. The transparency of the pavillion as well as the light filtered throught it, add a unique atmposphere. The shape was a result of different experimentations in Grasshopper and Rhino. Once the surface was established and divided thanks to the algorithm, it was necessary to find an assembly system: nodes, connections.... This project is an example of conception and technology; the learning of digital tools and machines was also part of the manufacturing process [laser cutting, digital milling machine, robot, 3D printer],
