Ismael Labrador 2016
I am influenced by my surroundings. Life experiences are what drive me too create art. I am inspired by both nature and things that are man made. These paintings are a reflection of these two worlds coexisting harmonically and in chaos, expressed through abstraction. These textiles were done using the "Batik" technique. A method that consists in applying layers of wax to seal areas of the fabric. Then coloring the uncovered parts -with dyes.
