01 IMITATING TRACES CITY REGENERATION
LOCATION: FREDERIKSVAERK DENMARK YEAR: 2013 SUBJECT: Imitating Traces will reconnect Frederiksværk with its historical and natural context, and act as a catalyst for the revitalisation of the town. Frederiksværk has had a strong industrial heritage that remains central to its character and identity to this day. The three lines – the Natural Trace, the Cultural Trace and the Urban Trace each highlight diverse attributes of this community which currently exist but are barely visible today.

highlights the unique qualities of modern community life in today’s Frederiksværk. Together, this network of new and enhanced urban spaces and new pedestrian connections will provide a variety of opportunities for outdoor public life to flourish in Frederiksværk.

The plaza will be connected to the Gunpowder Factory by a shared space, and at the other side stylized forest creates transition towards the forest.
COPPER MILL PARK The lawn area will be activated as a new park where the defining feature will be the creation of a unique and interactive permanent archaeological excavation in the middle of the park. This will uncover the remains of the original Copper Mill which operated at this location until 1908.

02 ADVENTURE-SCAPE TOURIST ROUTE
LOCATION: TEXEL THE NETHERLANDS YEAR: 2013 SUBJECT: Adventure-scape will bring movement and life to the isalnd Texel where beaches, dunes and green areas will come alive. They not only give a picture of a dynamic landscape but activate the users too. The southers edge of the island will be never moveless. The nature is forced in a way that it forces its users to do spectacular things. The existing natural landscape enriched by additional elements, copied from the surroundings, creates an adventure landscape where active young people can express themselves.

LANDSCAPE The unique landscape of Texel, consisting of various landscape elements, such as a beach plain and dunes in different developmental stages, will be enriched by multiplying and enhancing them. In the bay a tidial formation will bring a new attraction and landmark to the site. On the west coast sand nourishment will provide protection from erosion and a new activity area.

INSPIRATIONS
HAMMOCK GARDEN
When I was walking in Amsterdamse Bos I was fascinated by the details of the nature which influenced the details of the design. The overall layout of the garden as well as the shapes and structures of the different objects in the garden show an organic pattern similar to a leaf structure or other natural formation.
BIRCH GARDEN A natural garden of birch trees with organic structures will provide relaxed reading shelters.

04 NÉPSZIGET URBAN PENINSULA REVITALIZATION LOCATION:
BUDAPEST HUNGARY
YEAR: 2015 SUBJECT: This project proposes a design for the development of Népsziget river island as Budapest´s “Wild Island” – combining flood protection, nature restoration and extreme sports while preserving and revising the island’s industrial heritage.
Népsziget is a forgotten island today... Even though it was once a popular recreational sport and holiday island sharing the site with leading shipyards, today it is just a silent, neglected place where abandoned buildings remind of the vivid life that was once there. The flooding and rising water levels just accelerate the decay of the buildings.
NÉPSZIGET
SITE IMPRESSIONS
The coexistence of the heavy industry of shipping and the water sports has always been on NĂŠpsziget. Even though the ship indsutry has stoped working it is visually still there in form of the old abandoned buildings. This duality gives strong contarst to the site: I felt unsafe walking through the neglegted industrial sites, while at the other side I was impressed by the extraordinary Danubian nature.
