PORTA A MARE
This project is located in the industrial area of Pisa, Porta a Mare. The intervention consists in the reconstruction of the Canale dei Navicelli, the channel that connects Pisa to Livorno. Porta a Mare has an industrial tradition with over a hundred years and the presence of the Channel has led to the development of the whole area. The urban proposal rebuilds the two lines that connected the channel to the river Arno creating a dock in the fork that is complemented with a residential area. This proposal includes also two factories that currently do not work, converted to commercial and cultural area, and a new garden that supports the city.
The residential area is developed with the concept of a typical house, dividing the space in half into two important parts: the house and the garage, which is connected with the channel. This form will also organize the public spaces.

Intact ruins. Walls that gather a garden over the sea, an unknown new place below it... The Intervention is drawn through a distance, with subsequent rotation of the entire central area in relation to the walls of the fort, highlighting it’s existence. When introducing a new material, the connection between what was left and what is new is emphasized. Was taken advantage of the ruins that remain inside to operate the connections. On the fort’s east wall a new volume is idealized, combining the two parts that remain from the original construction. The center of the garden is also punctuated with a connection to the underground spaces, using the two existing stonewalls.
The interior spaces of the Art Center are organized under a single functional wall. Through this unit, the light is searched and the areas are distinguished.
METRO
SETÚBAL, PORTUGAL
After the phenomenon of industrialization in the nineteenth century, Setúbal suffered from problems that have scarred its master plan forever. The brutal railway divided the city in half and created an overpass that marks a large part of the coast. These interventions have had a great impact on the topography and the present form of its urban organization. The proposal aims to bring together all the fragments, eliminating the possibility of allowing trains into the city center and reusing the railway tracks for a new type of transport, the tram-train. This type of transportation, besides the economic and environmental benefits, would provide permeability between spaces. This project is the central station that is under the belvedere of São Sebastião, which is located east of the medieval center of Setúbal. Besides the good location, close to the garden Quebedo, the old town and the coastal zone, this project reinterprets the topography, exploiting its features. In the center of the metro station is a hole that before was an old abandoned warehouse that now allows the sun to illuminate the pier.
BILANCINO FLOATING SUITE TUSCANY, ITALY
This project is located in Mugello, Toscany, Italy. A floating suite, a singular wood structure that plays with opposites. Although the structure is visible on the interior, the exterior is concealed with corten steel. The corten steel is cut in vertical slices with several widths in a decreasing order, creating an organic effect.
