Founded by Ali Hewson and her husband, the singer Bono, the aim of Edun is to promote trade in Africa by sourcing production through-out the continent. EDUN is building long-term, sustainable growth opportunities by supporting manufacturers, community-based initiatives and partnering with African artists and artisans. LVMH invested in EDUN in 2009. Danielle Sherman was named Creative Director in April 2013.

Store opening/Promotional event Mission: Create a special event for the clothing line EDUN with Tesla as their sponsor. For this Autumn/Winter 2016 EDUN and Tesla are going to create a luxurious space were technology, sustainability and fashion meet. The event is going to take place at the new hottest event space, Flourish. It will display the current and newest models of Tesla automobiles and the new collection of EDUN. The guests are going to be able to buy the collection, learn about the brand, their mission and the importance of sustainable luxury in fashion and lifestyle.

Merchandise: Pieces from EDUN latest collection will be available for sale on special screen where it imitates an online purchase, as well as advertisement for Tesla’s models. Customer Tesla customers enjoy the benefit of charging their car at home and helping the environment. Tesla is not just an automaker, but also a technology and design company with a focus on energy innovation. Tesla owners are luxury customers earning $100,000 a year. Luxury customers and Tesla buyers are interested in an allelectric automaker with a different perspective on luxury and technology. Owners of used Model S are younger, about 10% of pre-owned Model S buyers are millennials, ages 18 to 34, compared to just 6% of those who purchase a new one. Millennial are leasing and opting for more luxurious, tech-forward cars than they could otherwise afford to buy. EDUN customer are women interested in social, ethical and environmental responsibility. The EDUN women cares about high quality luxury item as well as helping the community with sustainable growth opportunities. The EDUN store opening will attract the luxury customer as well as a conscious customer. The luxury industry has a particular responsibility because it sets trends and is open to innovation. Sustainability should be at our core. Customers mind-set has been changing and their consciousness and expectations are evolving regarding corporate environmental issues, especially for millennials. They want their brands to behave responsibly.

Space Decor


Materials Lighting: Simple, elegant LED lighting will be strategically place in areas of the clothing racks and the walls. This will accentuate the product and will give it a cold atmosphere to the space. Furniture: The furniture that will be use for this event is going to be very simple, modern, with clean lines. The prominent colors that we will use of the furniture and decor will be black and white. We want the plants and product to be the center of attention. The clothing racks are going to be made out of iron. Entertainment: Flourish will provide with catering and a live DJ for entertainment. Flowers: We will use air terrarium plants and a green moss wall behind the bars. We also want to use different plants in the space to incorporate the sustainable aspect of EDUN and Tesla. Signage: EDUN is going to make a simple black and white signage with their logo and a second signage for Tesla with their iconic logo. Fitting rooms: We will have four fitting rooms in the main ballroom. Application & screen: EDUN will have a free app just for the guests in order to shop the line being showcase in the event.
