Intonation, stress ‌ Thinking Out Loud Ed Sheeran

When your legs don't work like they used to before And I can't sweep you off of your feet Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks

And darling I will be loving you 'til we're 70 And baby my heart could still fall as hard at 23 And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways Maybe just the touch of a hand Oh me I fall in love with you every single day And I just wanna tell you I am

So, honey now Take me into your loving arms Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars Place your head on my beating heart I'm thinking out loud Maybe we found love right where we are

When my hair's all but gone and my memory fades And the crowds don't remember my name When my hands don't play the strings the same way, mm I know you will still love me the same

14

'Cause honey your soul can never grow old, it's evergreen Baby your smile's forever in my mind and memory I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways Maybe it's all part of a plan I'll just keep on making the same mistakes Hoping that you'll understand

But baby now Take me into your loving arms Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars Place your head on my beating heart I'm thinking out loud That maybe we found love right where we are, oh

The importance of consonants and vowels. 1. In your opinion, what contributes more to a learner´s intelligibility- accuracy of consonant and vowel sounds or command of stress, rhythm and adjustments in connected speech? In the process to learn a second language, the pronunciation is a really important aspect to consider; for this reason in my opinion accuracy of consonant and vowel sounds are a useful contribution for learners. It is important to have excellent pronunciation of the words if you are a learner because it reflect that you have the interest to learn it. If we have a good pronunciation of the consonants and vowels, we can to communicate in the correct way with the other people. The communication and practice are the most useful methods to learn and practice our speech and pronunciation. The practice of the speech help the students because it gives students confidence in the process to express what they are thinking. It is an important part of every day of students because they have to different words and how they have to pronounce that. The pronunciation of native speakers are different of the foreign learners. Consonant accuracy according to Murcia, C; Brinton, D. & Goodwing, J. (2010), “… alphabet we are using in this text actually phonemic (with some phonetic enhancements), we refer to it as a phonemic alphabet” so, like they mention the phoneme of the word is an important part to learn and teach a second language; especially if it has difficult words and pronunciation. It is important to recognize how we can transcribe the words in order to be easier the pronunciation of them. I is really useful because the students can improve and look how they have to pronounce in the correct way the words. For those reason consonant

accuracy and vowels sounds are the most important and useful aspect to consider in the process to learn a second language; especially the speaking part. Every skills are important in order to achieve the goal to learn a foreign language. Consonant accuracy and vowels sound are including in two of the skills in English, in speaking and listening; why? Because in speaking students have to know how pronounce the words correctly and in listening, because they practice and tuned their hears. Listening is important and necessary because educators as guide for students have to give them some practice to turn this skill, because it is one of the weakest skill in English. On the other hand, speaking is the most difficult one in order to learn a second language. Reference Celce-Murcia; M.; Brinton, D. & Goodwing, J. (2010).
