“Her hands went to her throat, then clawed at the air–the air she could no longer breathe, the air that, for her, had ceased to exist.”
“I should like a thoroughly bad climate,” he answered. “I believe one would write better if the climate were bad. If there were a lot of wind and storms, for example …”

It’s Complicated After effects project 2012. Group: Julie Gry Personal artistic interpretation of the scientific concept of “entanglement”. Entanglement is a complex set of theories about “twin atoms” reacting simultaneously, across a distance, within the field of quantum mechanics. The “creatures” represent the particles, serving as an allusion to a human relationship, just as complex and diffuse. Our core material was an interview with four scientists from Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. The title “It’s Complicated” is one of the starting sentences in the interview, and at the same time refers to the facebook relations status “It’s compliccated”. http://vimeo.com/57443399

Life Itself: Sofia Film project, 2012. Group work. A film about Sofia, an 8 years old girl recalling a holiday with her father. The video is the first out of ten in a documentary film project called “Life Itself”. Task: Portray an important experience from a person’s life as seen through her/his eyes. In the film we follow Sofia’s memory: From a regular day with school and TV, to a holiday in Spain with her father and step mother. We focused on the contrasts between everyday/holiday and the different sensory impressions, both good and bad, which Sofia describes.

Service design concept for a public trail along Kongeåen (the King’s River) in southern Denmark. Group work, 5 weeks. In collaboration with the municipality of Vejen and local land owners. It is a Natura2000 conservation area with much history to tell all from the viking age to the 2nd world war. We focused on creating a coherent experience for tourist visiting the area. The concept consists of: The Chronicle - A combined map and pocket for small souvenirs and fact cards collected at info posts. More than a regular brochure or map, the pocket encourages people to gather a physical souvenir to take home, as a basis for telling the story of Kings River on to more potential visitors. Four “Touchpoint” structures that are to be located along the river, nearby historic sites and commodities. An interactive screen at each Touch Point with informaion about the specific historical site.
Chronicle is pocket sized - collect fact cards or souvenirs.
Touch Point structure. Logo shape
Logo: Flow of river, Four touchpoints, Crown
Methods: Excursions, Questionnaire, Idea generation, Prototyping, Photo-and online research, storyboarding, user framing, Pitching
Trail runs through open Touch Point structure. Follows Flow of the river.
Touch screen design. Transparent + Square grid like traditional square Danish windows.

Experiments with light
Enlight Interactive installation for a future theme park called “KRAFT in northwest Denmark. Groupwork, 2012. Theme: Light/temperature. The installation consists of solid square boxes of the size you can sit on. On the surface of the boxes are temperaturereacting paint, light stencils, mirrors, parts of written messages, illustrations, holes to build kaleidoscopes etc, that can be mixed and matched to reveal data about light. Some are easy for small children like mixing colours, and some are more advanced and can be explored by older children or in collaboration with their parents. The Installation is situated outdoors in the park, where it invites bypassing visitors to explore the abilities (data) of
Execusion
Photo experiment: Reflection
Stop motion experiment: Color matching

Your Island Design Fiction master class with writer Kaspar Colling Nielsen. Group work, 2013. Imagine if there had been a 3rd world war and the established society was dangerous to live in. A fictional manual for those who has retreated to small self-made islands hiding in international waters, because they are too vulnerable to live in society. Layout and phrasing is serious, but the illustrations and message contains a “clash”. Eg. cup cakes and soap bubbles turns into bomb recipes and rocket shields, and you can fuel your island from electrical eels. Potentially a new kind of children’s book.
00 01 YOUR ISLAND 02 TRANSPORT 03 CARMOUFLAGE 04 SECRET GARDEN 05 FISHING 06 SAFETY 07 SELF DEFENCE
Safety In case of air attack or other imminent dangers you should always carry your SOAP Protection kit and camouflage on you. Instructions:
1. Imediately blow soap bubbles at the object you wish to protect. NB! Always blow on children, animals and weak people BEFORE yorself, in order to prevent not being able to blow on others from inside your own protection bubble.
2. Keep still. Close your eyes in case you cannot abstract from surrounding visual inputs outside the bubble.
3. When the danger has passed the bubble can easily be punched with a needle or other sharp item.”

Photography Taking pictures is a personal tool that I use to explore the world through perspective, light, settigs, composition and contrasts. I like to find strangeness, otherworldlyness in ordinary things. I try to capture odd lights, structures, and little things in my evetyday life and make them tell a story or a certain ambience through the image.
