Milk jug bird feeder: This is a rather easy to make bird feeder and you do not need any extra supplies for it. It is also a great project to teach your children about recycling and reusing. Take a

gallon sized milk jug and wash it thoroughly and dry it. Now mark a huge hole on the sides of the jug and cut it out. Once you’ve cut the holes, hot a knife and run through the edges of the hole so as to blunt the edges. Now on the bottom of the jug, mark tiny holes and make them using a hot knife. These are the drainage holes. Now make a hole in the lid of the jug and push a para-chord through it and then tie a knot to the end once it has passed through the hole so that the cord remains intact. Your bird feeder is ready! You can give it some nice paintwork to make it look attractive. Now simply fill it with bird seed and hang it from a branch.



Milk carton feeder: Just like the jug feeder, this can be made on the same lines. Simply cut out a single hole on one of the sides of the carton and then punch small holes through the opposite sides of the base and insert a branch or a dowel through it to act as the perch. Punch a hole on the top and insert a pipe stem through it which can be used to hang the carton. Paint the carton in bright colors and fill it with seeds and hang it, and your feeder is ready!



Egg carton feeder: Cut off the top of the carton and punch 4 holes at the 4 corner. Now cut two pieces of strings that is about 1 foot long and thread them through the holes diagonally. Tie ends into a knot. You can even add some glue to it for extra precaution. Paint the egg carton, add seeds and hang it on a branch and watch beautiful birds come along.
