MPrep?
Marianapolis is a Catholic independent school located in Thompson, CT. Serving boarding and day students grades 9-12 and PG, Marianapolis is most often described as a “family” and a “home” by its community.
MPrep empowers students to embrace growth; our educational philosophy is rooted in experiential learning. Scholarship meets travel through LEAP Week in March, as students have the opportunity to access off-site education coast to coast and around the world. Weekend programming is for all students, including hands-on options from goat yoga to river rafting, cranberry bogging to glass blowing. In addition to its rigorous traditional curriculum including 22 AP® courses, Marianapolis also features three Centers of Excellence. These targeted course modules allow students to focus before college on extra classes, internships, and projects in Innovation, Business & Entrepreneurship, or Social Justice.
With over 40 clubs and organizations, 12 extracurricular options, and 17 interscholastic programs, Marianapolis has opportunities for every single Golden Knight to make an impact. The School’s 100% college acceptance - and extraordinary tight-knight community - yields graduates who are confident, engaged citizens ready to lead in an ever-changing world.

CALLIOPE: This studentcreated and edited arts and literary magazine showcases the many talented artists and writers of Marianapolis.
SHIELD: Students Honoring Inclusion, Equity, Love, and Diversity - a student-driven effort to foster a safe, resonant experience for every single Golden Knight.
ELECTIVES: With over 100 elective courses such as Neuroscience, Peace and Justice, Sociology, Engineering, Public Administration, and International Relations, students can truly dive deeper into their topics of interest.

CLUBS: Our more than 40 clubs include such groups as Politics & Pastries, Green Knights, Model UN, and American Sign Language Club.
COMMUNITY SERVICE DAY: An annual tradition to serve the greater community in many different ways.
DSBE: Day students have the opportunity to spend two weeks living the life of our boarders through our Day Student Boarding Experience.
COMMUNITY GATHERINGS: Every Monday we gather as a whole community to speak about the week past, week ahead, hear student announcements and listen to Senior Voices.
LUNCH & LEARN: Grab your lunch and head to the College Office for an informal Q&A with professionals from all sorts of industries such as healthcare, broadcast journalism, and finance.

SPORTS DAY: Before heading out for the summer, Marianapolis students compete against one another on grade level teams in all types of activities from basketball to dodgeball, to a giant inflatable obstacle course!
THE ROCK: A Marianapolis Mount Rushmore? A Golden Knight Express? These are examples of many scenes created by AP® Studio Art students on “The Rock” that greet guests as they enter campus.

RAKE DAY: One of Marianapolis’ oldest traditions dating back to 1958, keeping campus beautiful by keeping those leaves off the grounds!
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING:
Goat Yoga? Glass bead blowing? White water rafting? All part of our hands-on learning outside of the classroom program, Experiential Learning.
TRASH FASHION: Interested in fashion AND saving the planet? In alignment with our commitment of being sustainable, create an outfit out of recycled materials and model your creations in our unique fashion show.
ENRICHMENT: Our Wellness programs, Mental Wellness Days, Peer Leadership, and College Essay courses are all great examples of personal growth opportunities for students.
