COURSE TITLE: BUSINESS & ENTREPRENEURSHIP: THE FOUNDATION GRADE LEVEL: 10 - PG PREREQUISITES: None DURATION: One term Entrepreneurs are individuals who utilize and combine factors of production, such as land, labor and capital, and use their knowledge, skill, and creativity to produce a product or service that is wanted or needed by society and which leads to a profitable situation for the entrepreneur. This class introduces students to the basic principles of business which are needed to start and own a business. Students in this class will learn to explore the characteristics and traits of an entrepreneur, identify the characteristics of different business structures, understand the components of an effective business plan, identify the competition, target various markets, recognize business risks, and understand how to effectively grow a business. 18
COURSE TITLE: BUSINESS & ENTREPRENEURSHIP: THE BUSINESS PLAN GRADE LEVEL: 10 - PG PREREQUISITES: Business & Entrepreneurship: The Foundation DURATION: One term In order to build an effective business plan, one must possess the mindset, skills, tools, and foundation of an entrepreneur. This course serves as an extension of Business and Entrepreneurship: The Foundation. Students will use the skills they have learned to research, strategize, and implement their own business idea. This is a project- based course that will encompass all aspects of building a business plan and will look to bring an idea to life.
