Y2B Youth to Business Forum is an event that takes place in multiple locations around the world; bringing top young leaders together with business leaders, thought leaders, and experts for a conversation around pressing global issues with the aim to generate new, but most importantly, actionable ideas to that will impact the world and its future. We make this happen through taking our young leaders through a unique and interactive delegate experience.

Youth to Business Forum

Inspire Top business and thought leaders from around the world are invited to share their knowledge with the delegates about the chosen forum theme. This section of the day is delivered through short and powerful talks and aims to inspire delegates and help to form their opinions for the rest of the day.

Engage Our partner organizations engage with the youth delegates to give new perspectives on issues relating to the forum theme through workshops, conversations and idea generation spaces. Youth and business are able to interact, exchange opinions and understand what is being done in the world already to address the question of the day.

Act The youth delegates take their learnings and insights from the day into a space where they are able to generate ideas, ask challenging questions and give their opinions on the actions that should be taken towards the theme of the day.

Theme Flipping the Switch to Solve Youth Unemployment in Europe Europe faces a "demographic time bomb" as its population ages and a record amount of young people remain out of work. Among the under-25s, the unemployment rate equals to 24 percent, and in Spain and Greece, youth unemployment is above 50 percent. Youth unemployment is "perhaps the most pressing European problem", German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said, ahead of an EU meeting on the issue. Europe Youth to Business Forum wants to come up with the solutions for higher education institutions, companies and youth themselves to decrease the unemployment rate among young people in Europe.

Goals Europe Y2B Forum 2014 In a fast changing world, Europe is being left behind in terms investment and innovation, comparing to Asia and USA. In order to put Europe back in the top, European Commission has set a growth strategy for the next decade, called Europe 2020. It is important that UE becomes an intelligent, sustainable and inclusive economy. These three mutually reinforcing priorities should help the EU and the Member States to deliver high levels of unemployment, productivity and social cohesion. Concretely, the Union has set five ambitious objectives - on employment, innovation, education, social inclusion and climate/energy - to be reached by 2020. Each Member State has adopted its own national targets in each of these areas. Concrete actions at EU and national levels underpin the strategy. This was affirmed in AIESEC’s 2014 Youth Speak survey that youth want to take action for a better Europe but over 60% answered that they are not certain about which actions to take and those that will have the biggest impact. This year’s Europe Youth to Business Forum aims for our delegates to inspire, engage and act on Europe 2020 Agenda. Europe Y2B will be opening its doors to 500 of the region’s next generation of top leaders to switch ideas with fellow leaders, international speakers and businesses into actions that will impact the world and its future. Synergy and idea generation will be done through panel discussions, workshops, world cafes and more.

Europe Youth to Business Forum aims to answer three questions: 1. Are young people aware of what Europe 2020 is, and how will it drive European growth, by becoming a more intelligent, sustainable and inclusive region? 2. What can young leaders and businesses do in realizing their reason to lead in the society and how can they achieve fulfillment of that reason in synergy with one another, by making Europe 2020 a reality? 3. How can we achieve regional connectivity in spite of such diversity? Be part of this regional event as we aim to connect the +45 countries of Europe and North America! 10
