ABOUT ME I´m Landscape Architect starting my career. I am a motivated, dedicated, creative, organized and hardworking person. Easy adaptation to different environments as well as different work teams. I am interested particularly in urban design and sustainable ecosystem. Recently I have developed a great interest in the study of Urban Allotment Gardens and I have collaborated in COST TU1201 - Urban Allotment Gardens in Europe Cities.

Short Term Scientific Mission - Cost Action TU 1201 The institutional organization of Urban Allotment Gardens in UK (the case of Birmingham) Birmingham City University This study focuses on the institutional organization of different types of urban gardens and seeks the understanding of the existing types of organizations in Birmingham, their role and the benefits of their existence. The results demonstrate that there are several institutional organizations whose main role is it to rule, manage and support these gardens. They are organized hierarchically, from national organizations to local associations, and they are extremely important for the implementation and success of these growing areas. Thesis: Designing models of Urban Allotment Gardens (UAG) from the study of «Horta à Porta» programme, by Lipor University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro This master thesis aims to demonstrate the importance and specificity of UAG in different urban contexts, and to create conceptual models adjusted to the context of Grater Porto region, in Portugal. For this synthesis the methodology encompassed methods of survey, inventory and evaluation of the allotments, based on a set of parameters. As a result, it was possible to generate two models for the UAG of Grater Porto, considering its urban context, and integrating components such as the aesthetic quality, functional and ecological aspects and structure and the spatial organization, adjusted to users’ needs.
